After Bon ivers opera house version you just can’t recreate that energy , in my opinion this was lacking , there wasn’t much emotion in the vocals and not enough patience in the music

I believe Mina Lund was inspired by Highasakite's version, because this version is completely different from the original version, and this recording is about 4 or 5 years old. I still regard this as the best version ever.

@T. A Soligard I agree, when i heard Mina on The Voice i instantly recognized this cover as her inspiration, but honestly Mina's voice better suits this song than Ingrids voice does. Both versions make me teary eyed though every time i hear them, i dont even know why it happens.

This cover is amazing, obviously. The way they softened the instrumental was called for, I think in the original version the slightly grating nature of the back track has an artistic meaning and is meant to grate somewhat, but it's nice to listen to it softened. Also, I think the singer here has some really good vocal instincts even though her voice isn't my favorite. She makes vocal choices that I don't expect which is impressive to me anyway lol. Overall so very well done!
