I‘ll be getting this on vinyl. Although I already have every so far issued version of these concerts, I‘m thankful they took care of the entire concert and bring out this beautiful package. The quality is superb again! So looking forward to putting the vinyl on my record player, have myself a nice cup of coffee and just drift and dream away with Jimi‘s music!

I've often thought, that if I was alive, I old enough, to see all his performances back then, it world of been fantastic, but I think it's a WHOLE LOT BETTER, to buy ALL his music now, as, it wasnt ALL available back then, and you can METICULOUSLY go through his ENTIRE catalogue, and ENJOY the most wonderful sound on earth you will ever hear. And the one thing that backs up my argument, is the fact that NOW you can also listen to EVERY great bands albums, from the 60s and 70s, and meticulously disect every sound, you could not do so then, as most of the albums weren't even made, now they are and at your own perusal, at your own leisure.

@lisand14 I have and that was my first thought as well. It sounds so 90's with the major chords moving in thirds- a Cobain songwriting signature style. Of course Hendrix used it 20 years earlier. @Will my sentiments exactly about the Black Panthers Will, I never said that Jimi never appreciated black people, im just saying that from what I understand about Jimi is that he was color blind when it came to people but he had Mike Jefferies in his ear pressuring him reform the original Experience or a least have Mitch come back and play with Jimi which eventually happened after BOG. Jimi had problems playing with Buddy anyway, not to say Jimi didn't like Buddy but there was a slight ego clash between them. Anyway did you check out Ramatam?

Jimi may of had a beautiful spirit but he certainly wasn't a fool. He was very aware of what was going on back then with all the struggles, hardship and brutality inflicted upon his people by whites hence his solidarity with the “Black Panthers’. And that Mike Jefferies also had something to do with his sudden and mysterious death?. But that’s another story.

'Band of Gypsies' (now 50 yrs. on)stands the test of time, and is a very special moment in time. Gems he recorded w/ the Experience? too numerous to list, and love 'em all.
