Helms, Bobby - Jacqueline Lyrics

Badum, Badum
Cha, cha, cha, cha, cha, cha, cha, cha, cha
Badum, Badum
Cha, cha, cha, cha, cha, cha, cha, cha, cha

Jacqueline (Badum)
I'm so in love with you (Badum)
My Jacqueline (Badum)
My heart belongs to you (Badum, Badum)
My Jacqueline (Badum)
Oh won't you say you love me too
(Cha, cha, cha, cha, cha, cha, cha, cha, cha)

I got a gal and she sure looks classy
Smooth as a car with a fiberglass chassis
Spicy as a magazine and twice as sassy
Jacquie, you're the one for me

Jacqueline (Badum)
I'm so in love with you (Badum)
My Jacqueline (Badum)
My heart belongs to you (Badum, Badum)
My Jacqueline (Badum)
Oh won't you say you love me too
(Cha, cha, cha, cha, cha, cha, cha, cha, cha)

When we're alone it's a big temptation
To try for a kid that's a real sensation
She's the got the keys to the situation
Jacquie, you're the one for me

Jacqueline (Badum)
I'm so in love with you (Badum)
My Jacqueline (Badum)
My heart belongs to you (Badum, Badum)
My Jacqueline (Badum)
Oh won't you say you love me too
Cha, cha, cha, cha, cha, cha, cha, cha, cha

My baby doll is a real humdinger
She likes to dance to the [?]
And when she rocks she's a real life swinger
Jacquie, you're the one for me

Jacqueline (Badum, Badum)
I'm so in love with you (Badum)
My Jacqueline (Badum)
My heart belongs to you (Badum, Badum)
My Jacqueline (Badum)
Oh won't you say you love me too
Cha, cha, cha, cha, cha, Jacqueline

I can only assume this was written for Writer Bob Hilliards Wife Jaqueline, whom I knew...a wonderful lady.

  2. J.... S....

Makes me think of a girl I had and lost cause of my stupidity. Never will have her again but I'll always have the memories. I love you Jacque!

  5. m.... ....

my dad used to sing this to me when i was young in 1968 ,a few years after it was recorded on a 78 inch record ,it always made me cry because he said it was my song and i believed him he has now gone from this world and i never thought i would ever hear it again as i didnt know anyone that had heard of it and i was only 4 years old when he played it for me.My sister found it for a hospice patient and at a sister get together she played it to me at the hotel that we had our last family gathering befor we put his ashes next to my mums , so many emotions and i felt he was with us all.None of my family knew how much i needed to hear that song ,because it was a personal memory , but dad came through in end as did my unsuspecting family .tHIS IS NOT A SAD COMMENT but a meaniful one to a Jacqueline that misses her dad but share a great great memory

+jacqueline laird great story Jacqueline , you were a lucky girl to have a Dad and Mom that have you writing such sweet things . I know their looking down on you from On High , proud as punch . Always loved your name ! Had a neighbor , Jackie Auffrey, and of course Jackie Kennedy , loved 'em Both ...... ps had a Dr, Laird in the 50's in Charlestown , Mass. who had an Irish Setter named Byron . A great Doc. & Scot. ,who gave me a quarter every time he gave me a shot in my skinny 8 year old bum , for yellow jaundice. ------ such great memories .

    j.... l....

A great memory Always hold dear those that are close to you and see them as much as you can because you never know the last time you’ll ever see them before they pass they will always be with you though when they pass away I believe because if you loved Them enough I am sure that they love to you back it’s always been my feel on life’s Philosophies on family members or people that one cares about

  11. t.... p....

As fresh today as it was in 1958 ,Id just left school at 15 .

  12. J.... V....

oh yay! a song about me

    J.... V....

+Jacqueline Vieux Come to me Ms Jacqueline . I just turned 71 and have been rendered harmless . PS I still have my teeth ! ha, ha,

  13. j.... g....

Not heard this since i was a kid in the 70s on the radio on a sunday afternoon in london. Only ever heard it the once but it always stuck in my head! Just thought that the version i head was a British copy version though? or am i mistaken ?

  14. P.... A....

    for my sister

  15. W.... M....

I ALWAYS THOUGHT OF JACKIE KENNEDY WHO I WAS IN LOVE WITH .

  16. J.... T....

I also agree everyone loves my name. And i also don't go by Jackie. I go by Jacqueline or Jacq. And it is a pretty damn amazing name that i would never change in a million years.

  17. C.... ....

    Hey, I like it! :)

  18. J.... M....

Whaaaaat?! I get compliments on my name quite often. I don't like the shortened version, Jackie, or I spell it Jacque. Still, Jacqueline sounds pretty damn awesome.

  19. H.... B....

I remember when this song was featured on the Herb Sheldon's Dance Party on WABD-TV Channel-5 in New York City back then at the time.

  20. J.... C....

when I was a child we had an EP with Jacqueline, Frauline, Schoolboy Crush & My Special Angel. Don't know why we had it in London in the UK in the late 50s or early 60s, but I still love all four songs

  21. C.... ....

@musicmandon1 I don't think the Kennedys were well known yet to the general public in 1958. Jacqueline isn't a bad name, it has a class to it and I kinda like it.

  22. m.... ....

Wonder if whoever wrote it was a fan of the Kennedy family. Only imaginable reason to try to work that unsexy name into a song.

    m.... ....

lol. ...a kid must have written this nonsense. Ya, definitely "Beyonce" is a hotter sounding, more sensual name than Jacqueline ---NOT!!
