Blood for Blood is the only worthwhile album by Hellyeah, and this is by far the best song off of it. I can't stand most of their discography before this album, but Band of Brothers was somewhat decent.

What a sick intro

So I have a rant. And also some serious, non sarcastic questions. It's MY opinion. So my question is, who's sound was first? 5FDP or HELLYEAH and thier new album? Because this whole album sounds like Five Finger. And they are on tour with each other. Did HELLYEAH rip off?? Because in my opinion, most of the sounds are boring and sound the same. And sound a lot like 5 finger. Also one other thing, I think HELLYEAH is gonna be terrible live. 4 guys in the studio can still sound great, but live.. they will suck. They need another guitarist to fill the sound. And the drums will not sound as amazing as they do in studio. It'll sound okay. But rant over!

Just saw them live over the weekend...they killed it.  I was impressed.

Just keep in mind, 5FDP was influenced by the members of Hellyeah (Chad and Tribbs from Mudvayne and Vinnie from Pantera).  So I would have to say 5FDP sounds like Hellyeah. And when it comes to the singing it usually sounds better on album then live, But these guys will feed you energy live.

So Hellyeah is now a 4-piece? Guess that does'nt really matter in the studio, but they should hire another guitarist. Adds so much more live. Also, the reason for the less heavy guitar sound compared to past records is most likely due to Greg not being there. They used most of his tracks on the albums i'm sure. Tom just does'nt have as heavy a sound. Maybe he should jack it up, cause hes carrying everything guitar wise now.

I have not been a fan of this band at all and thought their first two were horrible.... but the last album had a decent song or two and this song is the best I've heard from them yet. Vocals are awesome. Liking the step up.

Personally, I like these two songs. They wanted a heavier sounding album. Really the only thing it needs is a grittier and heavier sounding guitar and it would be amazing.

 Except that Pantera even when Phil joined were a 'Hair metal/Glam band' with dodgy poodle perm hairdo's (or rather hair-dont's!), they decided to get heavy and lose the hairspray with the 'Cowboys from Hell' album. I love Pantera but at the same time I think Dez seems to be the real deal, so what if he looked different before times change, people change and CC were an alternative/nu-metal band.

Not sure what to think of this band now.  They've changed with each album.  This new album is suppose to be harder and darker as opposed to the party anthem albums of the past.  I hope it succeeds, but the VP/Pantera fan in me wishes VP would just start from scratch and form another southern metal band or rekindle Pantera with ZW (wishful thinking Ha!).

Vinnie was just on TMS and said a Pantera reunion won't happen as it won't be the same without Dime. He put the rumors to rest once and for all.
