Another great band i loved growing up in England in the 70s with a similar if not identical sound and surprisingly were English lads was 'Sweet Sensation' with Sad Sweet Dreamer/Purely by Coincidence, they also sadly suffered troubled lives.

The poetry another job they cannot pay my bill but barely I'm living I get up early and they don't pay me enough I work for three people but I'm one I stay there because I have nowhere else to go I applied and applied for other and no answer in return it's simple all these jobs are insane and yet that make it hard for you to me hire for any reason at all because they have nothing else to go on nothing else in their life and still they make it hard for you a job then kills you before you could die a job that cannot pay your bills and yet you're in debt a job with customers who are impossible inspect you to kiss up to them a job that you get up long hours then on your feet pain in the back is sword for what a minimum wage and long hours and paychecks that is short and you end up doing it again and again and you cannot find anything better you cannot get yourself out of the hole and yet you still stand there painless hopeless mad at yourself for what has life giving you is there anything more nowhere to go
