Heart - There's The Girl Lyrics
You're a polished diamond
Now you're feeling kinda rough
Yes I know how long you been searching
for the perfect touch
You better hear what I say
give you away
Cause there's the girl
that you were after
Feel your heart beating faster now
There's the girl that you were after
Can you say that you don't
want her anymore
Just take my word now
she ain't good enough
for the likes of you
You better hear what I say
I can tell your eyes are just about
to give you away
Cause there's the girl
that you were after
Feel your heart beating faster now
There's the girl that you were after
And all the time you can't get past her
There's the girl that you were after
Broken glass, complete disaster
There's the girl that you were after
Can you say that you don't
want her anymore
I believed you once
When you explained
That it wasn't to tough
To forget her name
Cause there's the girl
that you were after
Feel your heart beating faster now
There's the girl that you were after
And all the time you can't get past her
There's the girl that you were after
Broken glass, complete disaster
There's the girl that you were after
Can you say that you don't
want her anymore
There's the girl
There's the girl
There's the girl
There's the girl

god i miss this music and time!!!!!! i wanna go back.....
what a nice ,powerful, romantic song that only in the 80s could have been written and performed by an extra ordinairy band,no band these days could this make happen....i was on a 80s party last week and ask the dj for this song, his smile was incredible, but he said no one knows this song, but he plays it only for me,and what should i say,the dancefloor was full of nice woman with me in the middle, must i say more.....soorry for my bad english,i hope you understand

Ann's great
damn Nancy was porn star pretty.
Had the biggest crush on Nancy smh
HD rescan please :)
Heart is an awesome group.
Omfg did Phil Collins really write this song?! :D
It's really unfair that they're both so talented...
Please.. If anyone of u here spotted an eighties girl with big hair and fashion on this present day and age, tag me!
When I listen to this I’m immediately brought back to Spring Break in Ft Lauderdale, 1988. I was staying with my friend in Pembroke Pines. I specifically recall going to a local seafood restaurant and getting sick one night from shrimp and sphagetti in a cream sauce and key lime pie.
Still listening to this song thanks gals happy new year's
I have always loved this song <3
I have a womancrush on these goddesses.
Yeah Nancy was super hot but...The 80's was mostly crap music and TBH that guitarist guy with the blond hair looks like a chick! Nancy's hot but that's about it.
This song is for me and my daughter Elizabeth
Ick...these songs and videos diluted heart way too much.......but guess it kept the money train rolling.....
I finally found this song!!
I had no odea Heart sang this!
These songs bring up so much emotion sometimes I can't listen. A time when things meant something
Ann and Nancy are the the most talented and intelligent female trail blazers of rock.
Помню и Люблю! 😘💖👍
Drummer Denny Carmassi! GREAT Drummer!

Turn back time ... please ...
Nancy Wilson can break my heart anytime she wants to. 😉
I like Nancy's motion at 1:36 when singing "beating faster."
3/December/2019 Love from S.Korea. 제가 제일 좋아하는 노래중 한곡입니다. 최고..
What's with all the vent tubes. Maybe they were setting up a deadly grow room and decided to jam out
Música linda clipe sensacional cantoras super estilosas nota 1000 parabéns
I'm just love the song "There's The Girl" By Heart 💓
Absolute sex .... in a musical way.
Looks like it. "Broken glass, pure disaster."
Still listening to this song thanks guys
I love the way Nancy moves. It's sexy but rock and roll at the same time. Love all the kicks and stuff too.
Awesome song!
I love you
Nancy was such a babe. Still the #1 rock chick of all
What a song, love every single second of it. Thank you Heart.
Just look at Nancy take the lead on this song. Classy, sensual, sophisticated. So sexy and hot. Ann exudes a different kind of attractiveness. It's more like a very commanding stage presence. The energy that these two have together is just.........
This is one of the great 80s that reminds me when I was working in a sheet metal shop in Guam. It boost me more on working and getting inspired whenever I play this song on cassette
Queen of rock
I want my 80's back!
Big Hair
Hair spray
Fashion
Shoulder Pads
Hot 80's chicks (like Nancy Wilson whom i confessed to drooling at her back in the day as a teenager)
Boom Box
No cell phones
Nancy and Daryl look similar.
I used to have a serious crush on the blonde when I was in the 80s
Great band! And a great time for music!
Such an under-rated guitar player/musician/singer/song writer. Nancy & Ann Wilson are a powerhouse. Love them.
Some don't connect HEART to this song. This is not usual HEART style. It sounds a bit early ROXETTE-ish to me. Mystical, haunting, chilly instrumental... Imo. A little "outside the box" for Heart. Always liked this one nonetheless.. Haha came looking for it today!
👌💝😘❤️😢
AOL Music.
Супер! 👌😘👍💖💕❤️💗
The 70 and 80s rock awesome thanks lady's
💕❤️💗💖😘
If I can just build a time machine 🤔
Like si la sigues disfrutando este 2019....
💜💜💜💜💜
👏👏👏👏👏
Ann, put down the fork!
I knew that they made Ann stand behind other things and people because the people in charge were worried about how her weight would look, but I never noticed until now that in addition to that they also shot her close ups with an anamorphic lens to visually "squeeze" her in the frame! Good grief, I'm sure that made her feel real good about herself...
Why isn’t this single version available on Spotify? I like the flourishes of “she’s setting you up my friend!”
I am a big fan of this band.
Not their best, this one. It's just so mechanical. The hook is good, but they just repeat it over and over. The verse and the bridge are barely there. The body of the lyrics don't say anything the title phrase doesn't, and the premise of the song has been written about much better by other writers. Even as a showcase for Nancy's singing, it falls short, as her most impressive, dramatic moment in the bridge is quickly obscured by the final chorus.
These Dreams was a far better tune.😬
Kinda sad how they’re doing Ann in this video. They have her hidden behind the drums, the smoke, the band mates, the props of people. It’s apparent that she’s being hidden because of her weight, which makes it’s hard to watch
80’s and 90’s Nostalgia ...I’d like to go back to those 2 eras
This literally looks identical to the same set they used for making the 'These Dreams' video.
Though this song is from the 'Bad Animals' album(which is a stupid title by the way)
Excelente tema! Aún escuchando en el 2019.
There’s the girl..........
Good song but 70s Heart much better.
Balkie on drums!
as we are today, the DeLorean still doesn’t exist, so the only way to go back to those fabulous years is the music itself... try to close your eyes while playing this song... that’s the true time machine!
Nancy, amazing voice!
Listening again lol
You haven't really lived unless you get THE girl you REALLY were after...
King Without A Crown or the guy (if you're a girl)
@DesertRose122 Indeed. Even though i guess girls are by default more skilled to get the guy they focus on, at least that's my experience so far.
Linda música
I love this song!!
Just unbelievably beautiful sisters!!!! I know all the women in the world loved the guys in this group though!!!!
2019. Nancy was is still ridiculously hot !
both of them were...
Yes, ridiculous.
Nancy was a beautiful redhead! Anne had a gorgeous face...I had a dream of a place like this once it was awesome!
I heard this in a Kroger for the first time in like 25 years.
Just Nancy, that's all
One of my favourite Heart songs of all time that truly represents everything that was so wonderful about the music of the 80s
One of my favorite songs by Heart. Not only because it's a great song but because unfortunately it hits so damned close to home.
Every time I hear this on the radio I get the 'inferior' version without Nancy overlaying the lyrics at 2:02 "she's setting you up my friend" and "she's gonna break your heart again". I'm delighted I can finally hear this version again!
