While I do like Lithium flower, this one was first, and if Kano didn't get permission, it kinda sours it.
Edit: sours it because Kano didn't come up with most of the beat. she just remixed it. You can't hold the remixer at a higher pedestal than the originator if they didn't do it without permission... unless they're Weird Al.

The CD liner notes don't credit a guitar player, so I guess Imogen played it. She does play guitar, but not very often.

This song definitely predates Lithium Flower, and especially in the beginning, it seems pretty clear it was sampled. Though I would say, my favorite part of LF is easily is the bridge (or anyway, "So Matador..."), which sounds very different. But contrast, this song is very consistent with the opening. And it's very good too, I'd say...no wonder both are enjoyable.

I recently started listening to her more and am mad at myself for not doing it sooner. She's amazing! Her voice takes me to a totally different place, it's so relaxing and soothing to the ears. Good shit.

i specially like the way she is playing with her voice. all the sighs, every time her voice gives in, all the wispers, everything seems calculated and planned - just perfekt. She has absolute control, and that appeals me.

I agree, especially the butterfly part. Her music somehow makes me think of butterflies. In fact, in her music video of Hide and Seek, I wanted her butterfly earring. And I still do!

This was in reference to the lithium flower. heh. I agree about the Alanis Morissette comment, Imogens earlier work, contains the same raw emotive tone that All of Alanis' music does, although I feel Immi has finally found her niche! Her newer work is worlds apart! (in a good way)
