Good singer

For my money, the best version of this song ever is from Karla Bonoff. With Eva Cassidy's a close second. Not too fond of this one, but it's okay. Her voice is a bit thin in the high register. But it's certainly not terrible.

Karla's version is very very special and my personal favorite too, but it's performed in quite a different style, so unfair to compare the two, or to 'rank' interpretations in this way. Also the song itself is so wistful and melancholy that almost any competent singer can milk a wealth of emotion from it. That said, Hayley's is outstanding.

This brings back memories of all my hours virtual scuba diving on the Wii, with Hayley's hauntingly beautiful voice setting the mood. Endless Ocean is a beautiful game which, in all honesty, is probably what drove me to try real scuba (best decision I ever made). And I think Hayley Westenra's talent really brought it all together.

@Cooper Knight Though, I didn't go for the scuba diving part. But rather I went for the music part.

Ivy Kowalis the second game, Endless Ocean: Blue World (which is not only better than the first, but is easily the best game I have ever played) honestly helped me realize I could go into biology as a career. I've always been into it, but the Endless Ocean games really progressed that decision (granted I'm still a teenager but it's good knowing what I'd like to do)

Yeah, Endless Ocean is what got me interested in scuba, and probably a big part of why I'm as interested as I am in marine biology. I agree that Blue World is better than the original, probably one of the best games if not the best I've ever played. The only thing I prefer about the original is the soundtrack

you should look up and listen to "indigo girls and sarah"its titled(but jewel is in it too) doing this song.ive been playing different versions for a while tonight and so far that version has been the BEST.shivers down my spine stunning!!!

I guess it depends more on the person's taste and how the song was arranged.  I still adore Charlotte Church's version though.  Look up charlotte church lyrics, the pictures to go along with the song makes me tear up, I don't know why Enya's name was included though. :P

Il est accompagné à la harpe par un autre celtique, Alan Stivell (choisir la première interprétation de la liste, où il tient dans ses bras une cithare).

Je signale que Graeme Allwright (originaire de Welllington) a fait une adaptation de cette chanson en français il y a environ 45 ans ou plus, très émouvante aussi. Si je ne la connaissais pas presque par coeur je n'aurais pas compris aussi facilement l'original en anglais.

I had to sing this song in grade nine and I fell in love with it. Listening to her sing makes me fall even more in love with it, all over again.

You'd think that most YouTube users would be aware by now of YouTube's notorious compression artifacts and A/V sync errors. Still, it's better than nothing. To buy all of the music I listen to on YouTube, I would have to stop eating.
