My favorite Harrison album. Guided me through the end of a marriage. Far and away the wisest, and coolest, of the Fab Four.

Heard the alvin lee version first and knew this would be George 💕

mylon and alvin lee is better... just sayin.

George still plays on Mylon and Alvin's version. It is a better, more soulful cut than George's version.

I am sad late to listen you George

I don't remember George meeting with President Ford.How two distinctly different people= a conservative politician and a pot smoking rocker--what that conversation might have been like.

I recall that it was Ford's son Jack (an ardent fan) who was responsible for the meeting. There's a story that Henry Kissinger was there and didn't seem to have any clue who or what reason George was even there.

I can’t even try to explain in words the mixture of feelings that this amazing human being is making me experience..

He truelly is a remarkable person, a unique soul. I hope I will get the chance to sit with him for a chat in the next life 🤞😕

Absolutely gorgeous song, one of my favourites by George. A really sympathetic arrangement too with beautiful guitar and keyboards. (Also love the version by Mylon Le Fevre & Alvin Lee , with George on dobro.)

Without a doubt, George had the most beautiful hair and eyes. Paul was 'cute' and facile, Lennon was a championship hypocrite and self promoter. They did their best work together.
George just made music.

His writing (lyrics and guitar) is just unmatched...

Always singing about his life. This is about his first marrige coming to an end. His guitar is his second voice. So sad and so beautiful at the same time.

Grete A Ringgaard interestingly the Alvin Lee and Mylon le Fevre version of this song that George played on was released in November 1973 (having been recorded in August 1973) - several months before the end of George and Pattie's marriage. this backs up what George said in I me mine that the song dates from 1972- but yes it is a song about the failure of George and Patties marriage.
