Harrison, George - So Sad Lyrics

Now the winter has come
To eclipse out the sun
That has lighted my love for sometime
And a cold wind now blows
Not much tenderness flows
From the heart of someone feeling so tired
And he feels so alone
With no love of his own
So sad, so bad, so sad, so bad

While his memory raced
With much speed and great haste
Through the problems of being there
In his heart at arm's length
Held within its great strength
To ward off such a great despair
But he feels so alone
With no love of his own
So sad, so bad, so sad, so bad

Take the dawn of the day
And give it away
To someone who can fill the part
Of the dream we once held
Now it's got to be shelved
It's too late to make a new start
And he feels so alone
With no love of his own
So sad, so bad, so sad, so bad

My favorite Harrison album. Guided me through the end of a marriage. Far and away the wisest, and coolest, of the Fab Four.

Heard the alvin lee version first and knew this would be George 💕

  4. M.... R....

mylon and alvin lee is better... just sayin.

    M.... R....

George still plays on Mylon and Alvin's version. It is a better, more soulful cut than George's version.

So sad.. In loving remembrance Of Our Sweet George.. 💔❤🎧🎸🎼🎵🎶💞💕❤

  6. J.... M....

Here is a great version of this song by Alvin Lee and Mylon Lefevre. With George using the name Harry Georgeson.

I am sad late to listen you George

I don't remember George meeting with President Ford. How two distinctly different people= a conservative politician and a pot smoking rocker--what that conversation might have been like.

    m.... p....

I recall that it was Ford's son Jack (an ardent fan) who was responsible for the meeting. There's a story that Henry Kissinger was there and didn't seem to have any clue who or what reason George was even there.

I can’t even try to explain in words the mixture of feelings that this amazing human being is making me experience..

He truelly is a remarkable person, a unique soul. I hope I will get the chance to sit with him for a chat in the next life 🤞😕

George Harrison, I really can not thank you enough. R.I.P ❤️🌼

  10. W.... B....

George was an interesting guy. I'm happy that so many of his interviews were recorded for posterity.

  11. L.... S....

Absolutely gorgeous song, one of my favourites by George. A really sympathetic arrangement too with beautiful guitar and keyboards. (Also love the version by Mylon Le Fevre & Alvin Lee , with George on dobro.)

Eric C would never have stolen J. Lennons wife. THAT IS FOR SURE! NO MATTER WHO HE WOULD BE MARRIED TO. John would have kicked his ass and crippled him seriously. But he thinks he can do it with poor George. What a scum

    very good video

  14. I.... ....

So sad is one of George Harrison’s most underrated songs ever.

If you are seeking a new and different explanation of the truth that
makes sense, search for “Global Truth Project” in Google and click the 1st
result, then click on "The Present" and read what it says. This is truth
    you can check.

  15. N.... O....

Without a doubt, George had the most beautiful hair and eyes. Paul was 'cute' and facile, Lennon was a championship hypocrite and self promoter. They did their best work together.
    George just made music.

  16. A.... G....

His writing (lyrics and guitar) is just unmatched...

  23. G.... R....

Always singing about his life. This is about his first marrige coming to an end. His guitar is his second voice. So sad and so beautiful at the same time.

    G.... R....

Grete A Ringgaard interestingly the Alvin Lee and Mylon le Fevre version of this song that George played on was released in November 1973 (having been recorded in August 1973) - several months before the end of George and Pattie's marriage. this backs up what George said in I me mine that the song dates from 1972- but yes it is a song about the failure of George and Patties marriage. Glad George found Olivia and Pattie has Rod
