Harrison, George - Bye Bye, Love Lyrics

Bye bye love
Bye bye happiness
Hello loneliness
I think I'm gonna cry

Bye bye love
Bye bye sweet caress
Hello emptiness
I know I'm gonna die
Goodbye my love bye bye

There goes our lady
With a "you know who"
I hope she's happy
And "old 'Clapper' too"
We had good rhythm
(and a little slide)
Then she stepped in
Did me a favour
I threw them both out.

(MMM) goodbye happiness
Hello loneliness
I think I'm gonna cry
Bye bye my love bye bye
(MMM) bye bye love (MMM)
It's gonna be a raining out of doors
(MMMM) hello happiness (MMM)
Goodbye my love goodbye

Now I'm into romance
I shy away from love
Got tired of ladies (ooh ooh)
That plot and shove me
And that's the reason
We all can (see) so clearly
They see that our lady
Is out on a 'spree'

Bye bye love
Bye bye happiness
Hello loneliness
Think I'm gonna cry

Bye bye love
Bye bye happiness
Hello emptiness

  6. S.... C....

My guitar can't keep from gently weeping.

  7. A.... R....

George plays all instruments and sings all vocals in this song. His fretless Bass playing is fantastic

  8. D.... A....

What is it with the sped up vocals sound like a chipmunk.

  9. D.... A....

Sorry but this is an awful version of the song. I would expected more from George.

    D.... A....

Get a grip Daniel, fab version as we from Liverpool would say, its relevant to his married life, wasn't trying to out doo the Everlys, you must start looking deeper into songs Daniel

  10. K.... T....

    Poor, humillating, why harrison !!!

    (here lies the everly brothers)

    K.... T....

What do you mean by that ?

    K.... T....

    It means he's a Knob

  11. H.... Q....

maybe cut out the 25 seconds of intro before the song lol

  12. K.... ....

Dark Horse is one of his best , not over produced like so many of his other's

  13. M.... ....

    Nice video...

  14. D.... B....

Strange that George did a complete re-write.  It really sounds nothing like the Everly Brothers hit.  That said - I absolutely love the musical track. Very cool.

    D.... B....

It's George telling Clapper and Patti to bugger off.

  15. m.... c....

Porisso continuaram amigos...

  16. M.... T....

I recently bought the remastered edition of Dark Horse and the booklet says George did all the vocal parts in this song and also played all the instruments you can hear here.

  17. s.... ....

@LAwoman1956 Olivia accompanied George on the Dark Horse tour and it was her love and companionship which helped give him the strength to both get through the enormously stressful tour (see the pictures and footage of them together  in this period.. and later) and through this very difficult time in his life. She gave him strength and love for the rest of his life

  18. A.... V....

Que es lo que tiene de malo usar la "c" correctamente? Acaso la "k" es mas expresiva?

  19. D.... W....

The funny part was George and Clapton remained besties after Clapton married Patti. In fact, George was at the wedding with Paul and Ringo.( he had married Olivia by then). Clapton played with George on his Japanese tour.

  20. V.... S....

    What a wonderful song..

  21. S.... M....

    essa históooooria...

    chessingtonrhino:
The mistaken notion that Clapton played guitar on this track arises out Harrison's scribbling Clapton and Boyd's names among cryptic messages for the album credits. An A&M assistant took this to mean Clapton did play, and sought permission from Eric's record company to cover legal liabilities, adding to the album the standard, all-purpose acknowledgment. But Harrison played the seething blues lines on this track. Elsewhere on the album, Harrison and Robben Ford traded licks.

  31. M.... ....

    Chessintonrhine:

Actually, neither Eric nor Boyd perform on this track –– or anywhere else on the album. According to Beatles scholar Simon Leng's review of the studio logs and interviews with with Harrison's contemporaries, as well as both Clapton and Harrison's recollections, it was Harrison who played ALL of the instruments on this track: drums, bass guitar, guitars, lead guitar, percussion, keyboards, moog, etc.,and Harrison sang all of the parts (While My Guitar Gently Weeps, p. 152).

  32. V.... ....

my baby is going to argentina with some bitch grrrrr!!

  33. .... ....

This is shit.. Everly version is the best version

  34. M.... L....

i like more than the everly brother's version

  35. K.... S....

There is no cry for what very well happen, Patti was dull, and Olivia is wonderful.

  36. M.... A....

    HERMOSA VERSIÓN...!!!:

  48. M.... H....

What the hell is going on here? How did the conversation under a George Harrison recording of some old song get to this?
    Control yourselves, people!

  49. Y.... ....

@Blankfrackisdead, Awwwwwwoooooooooo, Assmunch got one right! Your and not You're!! Well call Jaime and plead your case dickwad. You can get his approval that you got 1 point right. Guess that makes up for the thousands of laugh my ass off at you mistakes you make day in and day out.....right?

    Can't hear you.

It is to laugh? Is that like bend over and take it the ass talk?

  50. Y.... ....

@Blankfrackisdead, assmunch. You don't read. You don't write. You're parents? They're good friends with Meth and cheap vodka. You're their mistake. They considered an abortion but were to whacked an Booyah to go thru with it. Bye bye assmunch, Hello Spaulding fuckface. That's a great Harrison track.

  51. Y.... ....

@Bluesquest. Yew got it wrong. Urban myth. Clapton and Patti never sing on this track (and it's George playin' the bluesy, Clapton-style lead guitar). Check out While My Guitar Gently Weeps: the Music of George Harrison for the full story. Good book. Great artist.

  52. P.... ....

@jammmon Check sales of "All Things Must Pass". Check sales of "Travelling Wilburys". Check the muso list and sales of "Concert for George".

  53. B.... ....

  55. J.... o....

Georgie boy really sucked big time after the beatles broke up

  56. P.... ....

@clambetae I got to see George live in 1974, with Billy Preston. One of my most treasured memories.
    Greetings from Texas.

    P.... ....

PoppaBlue59 We were there as well, a special memory

  57. T.... S....

his wife is one sexy bitch

  58. C.... L....

    @tintindwarf I am sureClapton agrees!

  59. Z.... ....

@tintindwarf Apparently Eric Clapton thought so, too!

  60. r.... ....

    @tintindwarf fucking clapton stole her

  61. M.... ....

I love Simon and Garfunkel. But George's version is dark and blue, right down to his seething lead guitar lines. And his bass work is cool, too.

  62. J.... M....

The Beatles are great, and so is George, but I gotta say Simon and Garfunkel do this one a lot better.

  63. s.... ....

I love this song! The one of Everly Brothers is very different (it is soft rock&roll in major, and the Harrison song is in minor) and has nothing to do with this strong feeling which is apparent in Harrison version. So I think it is 100% Harrison, and one of his best songs.

  64. t.... ....

Eric Clapton and Pattie are not on the Dark Horse album

  65. u.... ....

    patti got the clap
