Hanson - Running Man Lyrics

Waiting up all night
There's something on my mind
I need to tell you why
He's playing you for a fool
He's fooling 'round on you
And i just lost my cool
Feeling so sad

Too bad for the running man
Cause he waits too long so he can't
Come back again
Too bad for the running man
Cause i'm rright here waiting to make
That girl forget
Too bad for the running man, goodbye

Life isn't what it seems
Or something in a dream
That's not quite what i mean
I need to say goodbye
You think i didn't try
I'm not that other guy
I'm feeling so sad

Too bad for the running man
Cuase he waits too long so he can't
Come back again
Too bad for the running man
Cause I'm right here waiting to help
That girl forget
Too bad for the running man goodbye

Too bad for the running man
Cause he waits too long so he can't
Come back again
Too bad for hte running man
Cause i'm right here waiting to help
That girl forget
Too bad for the running man goodbye

It's too bad for the running man
It's too bad for the running man
It's too bad for the running man
It's too bad
It's too bad
It's too bad for the running man
It's too bad for the running man
It's too bad for the running man
It's too bad
It's too bad

How come this does not have a million views and likes? This is a wonderful song I just felt like listenting to today. Hanson is one of the most talented and underrated bands in history.

I just found another song (probably the original one) which uses the theme from the chorus of Hanson's "Running Man" and Chicago's "Runaround"! The song is called "The Cheater" and was sung by Bob Kuban & the In-men in 1966 ("Look Out for the Cheater"). Now we have three songs which use this seven-note theme (six notes in "The Cheater"): Bob Kuban & the In-Men (1966), Chicago (1988) and Hanson (2007). Read my previous comment from 2 month's ago. I like all three songs; but of the three groups, Hanson is now my favorite band -- with Chicago a close second!!

Here's some trivia I just discovered yesterday evening while I was listening to Chicago's "Runaround" from 1988! The first seven notes of the chorus is the same as the chorus in Hanson's "Running Man" (2007) -- The phrase in the Chicago song starts on B-flat; Hanson's starts on E. And both songs are about "running" ("Runaround" and "Running Man") and those words are in the chorus ("So good at the runaround" and "Too bad for the running man"). Coincidence???? If not a coincidence, Hanson's song is a great tribute to Chicago!! I would hope Chicago would consider it as such. I'm a huge fan of both Chicago AND Hanson!!

When my godson was a baby I used to sing this song to him to get him to sleep. lol. I was making funny noises singing it, and I would dance around and he was go to sleep. It was crazy.
