Hank Williams Jr. - La Grange Lyrics
I had a dream last night I heard mama talkin' to daddy
She said Hank Bocephus wants to boogie-woogie
I heard daddy reply to mama Audrey it's in him and it's got to come out
Let the boy boogie-woogie
Have mercy
Rumor spreadin' around in that Texas town
Bout that shack outside of La Grange
Just let me know if you wanna go
To that home out on the range
They gotta lotta nice girls
Alright yeah
Well I hear it's fine if you got the time
And I hear it's tight most every night
But now I might be mistaken
Don't ever know what's goin' on yeah
Here comes

Love Hank
I still have the LP
Anybody who thinks this is better than ZZ Top's version is a fool !!!!
And definitely not from Texas.
Is Hank's version better than ZZ Top's??
*No.* But it's *DAM CLOSE* cause it's more boogie woogie than ZZ's. And Audrey, *it's gotta come out.*
If it was 8 to 10 minutes long, then it would be better.
As many have already said I like this version better that ZZ Tops as well, but you also have to take into account that ZZ Top is a 3 man band....there is more than 3 guitar parts in this version. Got to give ZZ Top their due....those guys have a big sound for 3 dudes.
Sean Grove, you got that right, I saw both of 'em live and loved every minute of both shows. ZZ did some amazing shit with just 3 members no doubt
Aamzing--my dAD USED TO CALL ME jOCEPHUS!!!!
This version is the bomb!
excellent ! ! ! !
Bocephus finna boogie the damn woogie
This is another GREAT ALBUM by Hank!!
old hank will always suprise me music icon that's for sure
Bocephus knows how to get down with it. Live & Rocking 🕶
best version of this song, better than ZZ top to me.HELL YEA!!!
I like anything bocephus does in rock music he always manages to have at least 2 or more classic rock tunes on every album
I like both versions and bocephus does all classic rock justice
Bocephus don't fuck nothin up
still have this cassette tape, got to say I like this version better than zz top's
Let the boy boogie boogie !!!!
Love it
I really like his rendition of this signature ZZ Top song. I wish Strong Stuff was available for download.
I was born in 85 so vinyl was fading out but staying at a parents friends mountain house in NC around the time I was 3, i found the Greatest Hits vinyl and was hooked from when i was a baby..couldnt even say Jr, I just said Juinga...never saw him until 2003 and he rocked...and I still go back..he still has a lot of rock n rollin to do......you will have to bury Jr on stage bc he ain't gonna quit until he's dead
