Hank III really does look like his Grandpa! (both sooo attractive!) I prefer not to be negative... all the Hanks were/are talented, maybe a couple more than one, but that's okay he passed the talent on... so glad to be alive listening to a 3rd generation Williams, just shows you that musical talent is "born" into a person!

Personally, no disrespect to anyone else or their opinions, but Hank Williams Sr. has my heart. He has got to be the best in the Williams clan.

I hear a lot of comments about Hank Sr (Damn that man was awesome) Hank Jr (my favorite) and Hank lll (so much like his Granddaddy (Hank Jr's son) when he wants to be) But to give the devil his do, there's all pretty damn good! Hank Sr was the man, Hank Jr was made to spend so much to time being groomed in his daddy's footsteps that at some time he had to break away and go his own way and do his own thing, but to be honest with y'all, I've yet to see Hank lll at any kind of country music awards show at all, or chart the tops like Luke The Drifter or Bocephus did. Listen to some of the songs that Hank Jr did in the 60's and 70's and he sounds so much like his Daddy it's uncanny, almost scary. God bless them all.

I like it simple you can't put Sr. and a rock beat together. Each "Hank" was an innovator in their own time. If you look at some of Hank Jr's earlier stuff, all it was was his dad's songs. And he sounded exactly like his father. When the movie "Your Cheatin Heart" came out in 64, he did the soundtrack and sang it note for note, line for line just identical to his father. His mother Audrey pushed him and pushed him to sing nothing but his father's music. He couldn't do his own thing, because he had to be the reincarnation of his daddy.
Hank Jr was tired of it. He wanted to do his own music his own way.
He was tired of standing in his father's shadow and wanted to be his own man.
