Hank Williams - All The Love I Ever Had Lyrics

ONE TIME YOU KNOW I LOVED YOU TRUE,
THERE WAS NOTHING I WOULDN'T DO,
BUT YOU HAVE TREATED ME SO BAD,
YOU KILLED ALL THE LOVE I EVER HAD.

YOU LEAVE ME ALONE AND RUN AROUND,
YOU WERE THE TALK OF THE TOWN,
IT MADE YOU GLAD TO SEE ME SAD,
YOU KILLED ALL THE LOVE I EVER HAD.

NO ONE KNOWS THE TORTURE I WENT THROUGH,
LOVING YOU AND KNOWING YOU WERE UNTRUE,
IT'S OVER NOW AND I'M SO GLAD,
YOU KILLED ALL THE LOVE I EVER HAD.

ALL THESE YEARS I'VE SET AND CRIED,
A THOUSAND TIMES MY POOR SOUL DIED,
YOU HAVE TREATED ME SO BAD,
YOU KILLED ALL THE LOVE I EVER HAD.

I have just finished reading Colin Escott's excellent book, ' Hank Williams, the Biography'.
For Hank fans it is essential reading. Despite lifelong poor health Hank drove himself to become country music's greatest performer. And yet by the time of his death he was almost back where he started due to his self inflicted problem with aclohol. It was his love for his 'Miss Audrey' and their 'on off' marraige which provided the material for all those songs of love and hate. Truly a life of tragedy.

A true master of the arts, he knew how to write em' and sang them with real heart. There will not ever be another like him.

Hank Williams is still the greatest country music singer of all time. Thank you for all the post you have of him.
