Not feeling it. Just not. Been trying but hlh only had one great album, unimagine. Rise was right to let them go after dissonants. It wasn't bad but it was a solid step backwards imo. This I can't even finish. Just so bland.

I like the video idea, as in the meaning, but the constant changing lights could trigger someone with Epilepsy, be wary if you have Epilepsy.

This is obviously different from their older material, but that's not a problem. I'm not usually the type to to prefer a band's one era over another, but I'm noticing chronological style splits in bands I like more often lately. Besides HLH, the first one that comes to mind is PVRIS. There's also Oceana/Polyenso and to a lesser extent Periphery. I guess what I'm getting at, particularly with the former two, is that a band can change from one good style to another and still be awesome. The dilemma, though, is that one style gets left behind. PVRIS's post-hardcore days are long gone, but that doesn't mean White Noise or the new album aren't good. Same here; I may miss the Ground Dweller style but that doesn't mean I think they should stop making music like this. It's just tough. Why can't we have both?

Hopefully they keep their own brand of music which has that chaotic order juxtaposition/all-around aural treat that doesn't let up (especially in the magical lyrics!) which was very prevalent in all three albums, although lesser in Dissonants. This was the first time I heard an HLH song and said "Huh, this sounds very similar to another band" which was almost impossible before. Still, while this song sounds really good and is acceptable to HLH's set standards , here's hoping this is just a breather track in their hopefully upcoming new album, which hopefully revives the magic that Unimagine had, but maybe in a heavier flavor. You don't need to change your identity to change your style, after all. That's what I wish for HLH.

This band doesn't have a single bad song... keep rocking dudes.
