It's only on the Japanese release and the 2006 remaster of this album unfortunately. Also Spotify doesn't have it either.

cool track. 'almost' sounds like a Priest song. the vocals are nice but the guitar parts are a little too generic.

just like any early judas priest recording then you hear it live and it blows you away; the way music should be made

for 2000 it wasn't that generic. But this has been done 1.000.000 times since then to now.

"Sad wings" is written by Rob Halford and two guitarists from Halford on the Resurrection album. It's not a remake from the Sad Wings of Destiny album though it is obvious the album title is the basis for this song.

I have, judas priest version of sad wings of destiny, its sounds better like that.

Obviously now on youtube, but back in 2000 this song as well as "hell's last survivor" were on the Japanese import of this Halford album.

Nowadays on the remastered version of the album (why it was remastered and re-released with slightly different artwork, I have no idea), I believe these songs are included along with 1-2 other songs - which the other 1-2 songs it was clear why they didn't make the original or even Japanese releases because they weren't that good. :)

+JohnnyangelNIU the albums were re-released because halford made his own music label and bought the rights to all the music he made while out of priest, then he re-edited the tracks and re-released the albums under Metal Gods Records... (his label)

Also on Live Insurrection, i bought both on release day to add to the rest of my JP collection \m/

@Tarjaholic88 hahaha yeah, when i downloaded this song, syas that was from judas priest, 6 months after that, I bought the album sad wings of destiny and resurection and i realize that only halford have this song in his albums

its wierd, the second Judas Priest album is called Sad Wings Of Destiny but on the whole album there is no album title song called sad wings. Halford mades this song on live insurrection.

@Metalfier i gonna try to upload the entire album live insurrection this week, and i prefer the estudio version but the voice in the live version is fucking brutal, thanks for the comment
