Haley Reinhart - Some Way Some How Lyrics

Here I am
Oh with you
Dust within my soul
And there you are
Have you had enough yet
Laid to rest
I wanna change no more regrets

I feel it now
More than before
And you knew it back then
Well deep at your core
I'm standing here
And I'm wanting more

Someone tell me why have we waited for so long
When I know that we're not too far gone
We can change, I have changed, I'll show you now
We can save us some way some how

There you are
In plain view
Beauty you only knew
I look to the sky
To the ocean's hue
It wasn't till now
That I see the real you

I feel it now
More than before
And you knew it back then
Well deep at your core
I'm standing here
And I'm wanting more

Someone tell me why have we waited for so long
When I know that we're not too far gone
We can change, I have changed, I'll show you now
We can save us some way some how

Ohhh ohhh ohhh ohhh
Ohhh
If you just take my hand
We can make it there, make it there
Ohhh

Someone tell me why have we waited for so long
When I know that we're not too far gone
We can change, I have changed, I'll show you now
We can save us some way some how
Some way some how
Some way some how
Some way some how

I can't find a live version. The amazing thing about Haley is that her live voice is as great or better than her Memorex voice.Only older people will get that.

    Here's the live version: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wiFc-LyyYts

  6. E.... O....

I'm sure she's one of the most underrated and amazing singers in the world! What a voice....

  7. T.... B....

This is another one of her songs on this album that if released through a big major record label, as opposed to independently, would inevitably be a mega-hit song.

  8. H.... ....

This song is perfection. I can’t believe more people haven’t heard it yet. So beautiful.

This is a nice song also. Enjoying this album.

I'm betting that if Haley gets to sing this so beautiful song on American Idol this season that she will make a great big splash and that it also will become a big boost for her album sales. Crossing my fingers.

    T.... B....

What a great idea. In fact, since Casey Abrams is the piano player on this track, he should also be on the stage with Haley playing the piano with the rest of the American Idol orchestra backing her as well. Man...if she practices and sings it as pretty as she sings it in this track that would be something amazing to watch.

  12. S.... M....

This song is so beautiful. Her latest album is really good. I wish she got more recognition !

    S.... M....

@The Man with the Plan I don't think that would be a wise thing to do. They would suffocate her creative potential and transform her into a a mediocre singer of platitudes. The same would happen with Aretha or Janis or Clara Nunes (greatest singer of my country Brazil IMO) were they beginning today. Unfortunately, for the last 20 years of so, it seems like you can't be an original AND hugely popular artist at the same time any more (with, perhaps, very few exceptions....).

    S.... M....

@Noodle Swage Actually, I have heard Haley say in many interviews that she wants to hear her music being played on the radio, that she wants to perform on music award shows, that she wants to perform on network morning shows, be on late night talk shows, appear on television specials, appear on Saturday Night Live, be a judge on music talent shows, star in movies, win music awards, build her parents a new home, be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, etc.

However, if Haley isn’t willing to compromise like everyone else has to also compromise to get where they need to go, then she can forget about ever reaching any of those lofty dreams of hers. As none of those venues will ever open up the door and let her in unless and until she is a signed artist. Not to mention, that she is not getting any younger, as she probably has less than 10 years of being in her prime remaining.

I wish that weren’t the rules of the game, but unfortunately, they are the rules of the game. Either one must sign with a big major record label or there will be no big leagues for you and no matter how talented, how charismatic, how compelling, and how captivating you are.

Hence, Haley must face the fact that she has already reached the pinnacle of her career. Which consists of releasing music independently through iTunes with very low-quality cheap videos released on YouTube. While touring in a cheap sprinter van, as opposed to a tour bus, and playing in cheap low-class little dives. Not to mention, that her tours are minuscule in and of themselves as well.

In other words, she is just wasting her amazing talent away, and I hate to see it because Haley has the vocal talent, the songwriting skills, the looks, the personality, the charisma, and everything else she needs to make it big in the big time if she wants.

If Haley was a signed artist, she would make more money on tour in just one single venue than she is making today on her entire tour. Plus her tours would be far larger as well.

    S.... M....

@Daniel Alois Martins, You mean suffocate her creative potential like Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood's creative potential was suffocated? Furthermore, what's the incentive to be creative if no one has ever heard of you?

    S.... M....

@The Man with the Plan Sure Haley wants to be successful but being a pop star is not her *overriding* desire in her life and career. Her actions show that she does not want to sign the big label contract. It seems she couldn't even tolerate Concord. She wants control of her music. While she would welcome more recognition, she is happy with her life now. Maybe she will change her mind sometime and sign, or maybe she will figure out how to make the indie route work for her.

There are other directions she could go. Instead of singing with a mix and match collection of musicians she could put a band together, tour more and get things musically tight and crowd pleasing. Perhaps success could come out of that as a platform. Of course, she seem to enjoy only limited time on the road. LOL. I think some of her recorded music would benefit from more oomf musically. "Oh damn" for example could use some of those guitar licks that are present in her live shows.

    S.... M....

@Noodle Swage Well, I never said anything about being a pop star. I wouldn’t want her to be a pop star either. I want her to be a music star instead, as Haley is very, very versatile as you are well aware of.

Nonetheless, you insinuate she doesn’t want success when in virtually every interview she has given in recent years, she has said over and over again ad nauseam that she wants to appear on music award shows, be nominated for music awards, hear her music played on the radio, appear on Saturday Night Live, late night talk shows, morning shows, music specials, Christmas specials, build her parents a new home and help support them, etc. Meanwhile, I don’t think she was lying about that.

In fact, the primary reason why Ole Music Publishing funded Haley’s “Better” Album was to get her signed to a major record label. Not to mention, that as soon as “Can’t Help Falling in Love” went viral, Ole flew Haley to New York City to meet with major record label executives and then subsequently to Nashville to do the same thing.

In fact, while she was promoting her “Can’t Help Falling in Love” viral hit at the Grammys in 2016, which was at the same time that she was meeting and negotiating with the big major record labels, she told several of the people interviewing her at that time that this time next year, she would be the next Tori Kelly. So, she was clearly planning at that time to sign with someone.

However, something happened subsequently, probably the fear of the unknown, as Haley elected not to sign with a big major record label and instead, she convinced herself somehow to sign a horrible one-off deal with a very mediocre independent record label, i.e., Concord Records, to do a damn cover album of all things.

Which was about the worse possible decision she could have possibly made at the time since all Haley has done since leaving Idol was nothing but damn cover songs. So yes, we got another damn album of cover songs from Haley again that did absolutely nothing whatsoever to move her career forward. Not to mention, that Concord Records is so damn small that they are incapable of opening up all of the locked doors that are blocking Haley from being able to enjoy more success.

Anyway, unless and until Haley signs a deal with a big major record label, then she always will remain locked out of the venues and the platforms she needs to enter to get to the big leagues. Which means she is currently at the pinnacle of her very mediocre career.

Not to mention, that if it is the fear of failure that is scaring her, then she should not let that stop her. As there are many big music artists today that have been signed and cut repeatedly by big major record labels, but they never let that small obstacle impede them from attaining their dreams.

Meanwhile, she can control her music all she wants, as all she is doing is literally throwing it away for practically nothing. As it is not played on the radio and the vast overwhelming majority of people don’t buy, much less listen to the music of unsigned music artists. That’s just the way it is.

There are too many yes people in Haley small group of friends, but nonetheless, someone needs to point out to her the reasons why she can’t appear on American Idol to sing her own music or on any network TV shows to sing her own music and that’s because she remains unsigned

Moreover, that performance she did on The Jimmy Kimmel show was not only spectacular but world-class at the same time, but the only reason why she got to perform on the show that one time was because she was the guess of Jeff Goldblum who is a signed music artist.

Furthermore, read the comments, she impressed far more people that Jeff Goldblum did in that performance. As even is Haley’s music would suck, I still believe she could attain a lot of success in the big leagues just by doing cover songs on late night TV and other network venues. Cause she is gorgeous and because she can sing like nobody’s business.

As far as a success coming from putting a band together and touring goes, sure she can make a living doing that. However, if she signs a record deal and does the same thing, she will do far better than making a living, as she will literally make millions of dollars.

I recommend that Haley sign a record deal immediately, start writing a new album while making appearances in the interim on network TV shows now that that locked door would be unlocked and opened up for her, and then make Drew her band director and tour manager, go on tour, and don’t stop touring until she has four or five mansions and at least $30 million dollars in the bank.

Now I agree with what you said about her music. I bet if she would remix “Shook”, for instance, like a rock tune instead of that retro vibe, she would get far more mileage out of that song. In other words, I wish she would do far less retro stuff and far more rock stuff instead.

Not to mention, that I have hated every one of her cheap ass low-budget videos. As in my opinion, they do her more harm than they do her good. If she must do a cheap ass low-budget video, then just do a video of herself and her band playing and singing the songs instead at a gig or something. As she has the “it” factor in spades and people love to watch her perform, as opposed to rolling their damn eyes as they are doing today whenever they view her crappy low-budget videos. I can only watch her crappy videos once or twice, then I can’t stomach them any longer. However, I know Haley does them because she loves to play act, but nonetheless, they are all very pathetically horrible. She also needs to fire that guy that directs and produces them immediately as well.
