Haley Reinhart - Bring The Love Back Home Lyrics

Two three four...

Everything is such a pity
Never got to see the city life
Colorblinded by the lion
Not complying, propaganda lies
Now all these alienating internet ages
[?]

And I'm in love
But how the hell did we get here?
Our love is strong
So bring the love back home

I seem distant, take a question
[?]
Syncronizing [?]
Energizing interstellar sound
Wiser people come together
Now or never
Gather all around

And I'm in love
But how the hell did we get here?
Our love is strong
So bring the love back home

And I'm in love
But how the hell did we get here?
Our love is strong
So bring the love back home
And I'm in love
But how the hell did we get here?
Our love is strong
So bring the love back home (listen up)
And I'm in love
But how the hell did we get here?
Our love is strong
So bring the love back home (one more time)
And I'm in love
But how the hell did we get here?
Our love is strong
So bring the love back home

I love this song but I think it should be faster.

I never buy albums anymore but I need to buy this to support her. All of the songs are such high quality music. Haley, if you're reading this, have you ever considered setting up a Patreon for yourself? Look up Amanda Palmer and see how she does it. I think your fans would be just as supportive (we love you!). I'd personally love to support you through Patreon and drop you $$ when I can afford to! You're an incredibly special person with huge talent. I'm so grateful for your music.

  3. D.... D....

This is the kind of music that will help her break to the top. Country Music would also help.

This tune slowly grew on me after listening to "What's that Sound" in my truck everyday during my daily travels to and from work each day for about a week. I love that it's an original song and yet it fits right in with the other classics that were covered on this terrific album. Haley and Casey collaborate wonderfully and I earnestly look forward to any future tunes they create together. I absolutely feel the loving friendship they share when I listen to this song and it brings me up every time. Cheers!

They should make an album together 💕

This is my favorite song now <3 I love them so much!!!

What a boring song. Hopefully some day soon Haley will realize she's never going to be a pop princess and start building songs with jazz and blues influence, where her voice fits perfectly. Scott, Casey, and Irvin need to hold an intervention.

rich Hahn, what gives you the false impression that Haley is trying to become a pop princess? Indeed, this song isn't even pop. It sounds more like a song that Bonnie Raitt would sing, and Raitt was never a pop princess.

In fact, Haley turned down all the big major record labels last year to sign with independent record label Concord Records, which, by the way, was originally just a jazz label. So she is definitely not trying to sell her soul for quick money and quick fame, which she could have virtually instantly had she signed with one of those big major record labels. In fact, she had three lucrative deals on the table at the time when she signed with Concord.

By the way, speak for yourself! I like this duet, enjoy the message, and like the song.

Furthermore, I love PMJ but there are a lot of people who are growing tired of them too. Moral of the story is never put all your marbles in one bag. Haley is an eclectic singer. She sings a little bit of all kinds of music and usually keeps her fans guessing. Meanwhile, I like everything she does.

Well Dog, you're just about correct with your assessment, but I will say there has NEVER been in 60 years of listening to music could I ever say that I like everything from any group, including my favorite bands (Little Feat, Taj Mahal, Dave Brubeck or PMJ) to classic artists (Beatles, Joni Mitchell, etal). For me, what they do is to provide some outstanding pieces that are classics on my playlist. God, could one want more than that? There's always something that's in the catalog that doesn't resonate. Take Casey's latest live album, while I would rate it a five/five , there are cuts on it that are less than perfect (even on one of my favorite cuts). And when those two get together especially, sliding into a groove of harmony & refrain usually takes precedence over poetic lyrics. And while I would love to see them develop their lyrical writing, I do damn well love their harmonies together.

rich hahn i think she doesn't want to be a pop Princess

Well, I'm a Haley fan and a minimal Casey fan. So I agree with you with respect to not liking everything that Casey does. With Haley, on the other hand, I like everything she has done. However, I like some things she does far more than other things she does. But I do enjoy her versatility and her willingness to experiment and try a little bit of everything, which makes her unique and a better artist overall.

In any event, I think Haley wants to become a rock princess as opposed to a pop princess. She just needs to find a sound that will jive with the contemporary music scene of today. On jazz, I think Haley will always dabble in the art of jazz too because she is just too good at it for her not to.

Anyway, I'd like to see Haley collab with that new rock singer James Bay, as the kind of rock music he is doing would jive with Haley's vocal ability perfectly, as he is also a raspy rock singer except he is a male. However, Haley could sing his kind of music just as good or better as he does, and if Haley became the female version of his kind of rock music, she'd be unique, the only female doing that kind of stuff, and it would inevitably make her very popular, which is not easy to do in the rock genre these days.

have you listened to this album at all?

You have such a beautiful voice but whoever mastered the records should be put down, absolute horrible work!

    S.... ....

Tell me... OP, what your alternative would be. Be exact now, include equipment too and just how you would go about meeting Haley's and Concord Records goals for production. We are all waiting. Try not to look the fool. Remember there ain't nobody gonna ever pay you to produce, haha.

You really think I would share the secrets of my success as a billionaire music producer with some random youtube pleb? Believe me, I was born with soul and lossless FLAC in my blood! You know what I use as speaker cable? Pure gold core cables jacketed with 100 dollar bills. I own a 1337.69.42 (this is not an IP-address!) speaker system with standards Dolby and DTS:XXX did not even share the idea with low fidelity hobos like yourself! My ears are the work of god himself, they are cabable of hearing whale singing in the ocean while getting irritated by dog whistles two blocks away and you proud soundbar buyer ask me how I would produce Haleys song?!

    S.... ....

Haha. That was awesome. Never thought I'd enjoy your response so much. Thanks for making me smile:)

You know, if I was asked, I'd say just put this first performance on that LP as is. It's that kind of song, simple is best and it catches their connection. Search for "Haley Reinhart & Casey Abrams "Bring The Love Back Home" Idyllwild"

You're way ahead of me on so much. My own feeling about a lot of the tracks on her own albums is that her voice doesn't come through clearly enough to hear all the subtleties of it. How much is because of busy arrangements, and how much because of the production, sound, etc. I don't know. However, on all her recordings with PMJ that problem doesn't exist, and everything she does with her voice comes through so clearly. Nearly all the tracks on this latest album are superb soundwise as well. "Sunny Afternoon" is a track to die for. Scott Bradlee was involved in this as well (even if not PMJ as such).

My love for Haley & Casey is strong.

  10. O.... L....

Awesome original you two. Excellent orchestration seamless! Congrats to all contributors on this one!!!!

I am liking this song too. I would know without looking at the title that this is a Haley/Casey song.
