One of the best, most truthful songs (yet underappreciated) songs Merle left. RIP Merle.

But to be honest about , the war is never over, the government wage an endless war on us all that's never over. The governments loves war cause it makes allot of money for the controlling masters that run them.

Im 15 now, and thanks to my 67 year old dad, I love Merle. Its our road trip sound track, and we do A LOT of road tripping.

@GJNCA most people just assume since he has southern roots he is republican.

@GJNCA : I'm not sure he ever sang what he didn't believe in: it's more that he mellowed with age (and got turned on to pot by Kris K, hehe).... but there has always been a wry self-mocking style about Merle, even this song... you can always read him from any direction. That's one reason he's Merle and no one else will ever be Merle.

Thanks for posting this video. I never knew they made one for this song. I remember the day the cd came out, my dad, brother, and I wanted to show the Hag some support putting it out on his own label, so we each purchased a copy. The last Merle cd my dad and I ever listened to together.
