There's decent country music being released today. The problem is that hardly any of it gets radio play. That's goes for every genre. Even the "classic" rock stations play the same 50 songs over and over again. There's 50+ years of music out there but the same 50 songs get played over and over again.

Not sure if you know it but Merle Haggard only decided to do country music after he saw Johnny Cash play in prison where Merle was incarcerated. I think it was San Quentin. Johnny changed his life and didn't even know his name at the time. That's fucking real.
