Hagar, Sammy - Plain Jane Lyrics
She falls somewhere in between
Levi's and Vogue Magazine
She doesn't paint on her face
But what she does she does with taste
But she's drivin' me insane
(Plain Jane) Oh yeah, you're drivin' me insane
(Plain Jane) Well, let me love you baby, yeah
She kisses with her lips so tight
Ooh, it hits me just like dynamite
Her sweet, simple innocence
Makes everyone else seem like past tense
And you can call her Plain Jane
(Plain Jane) Yeah, yeah, yeah, you're drivin' me insane, oh
(Plain Jane) Please, oh
Well, let me love you, love you, love you, love you, love you, love you
Takes a special kind of man
To love and understand
My Plain Jane
My Plain Jane, talkin' 'bout my baby
My Plain Jane, oh yeah
(Plain Jane) Ow, uh-huh, my
(Plain Jane) Ain't no body else no
(Plain Jane) Tellin' you you're drivin me insane
Her smile comes on insecure
But her eyes, they let you know for sure
Oh, you gotta look hard and deep
Her kind of lovin', it don't come cheap, no
And you can call her Plain Jane
But she's drivin' me insane
My (Plain Jane) Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, you're drivin' me insane. Ow
(Plain Jane) I just, want so bad
I wanna love you, love you, love you, love you, love you, love you
(Plain Jane) Ow! I'm talkin' 'bout my
(Plain Jane) Yeah, yeah, she's my baby
(Plain Jane) See her walkin' down the street, and I just wanna love you
My (Plain Jane) come here baby
(Plain Jane) Now, come here baby
(Plain Jane) There ain't nobody else, no
I'm gonna love you, love you, love you, love you, love you, love you
(Plain Jane) Ow
(Plain Jane) Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
(Plain Jane)

Andy Dubiel Congrats on your 39! My wife and I are going on 28 and I used to play this for her in my radio daze!!
No guitar lessons on web?
Bill 'Electric' Church;
1 of the MOST under rated bassists in rock history!!
Did he play on this? He was with Sammy Hagar in the band Montrose and when Sammy Hagar left Montrose and went solo. Wow, I didn't know that. He is VERY a very under rated bassist. Bill "The Electric" Church.
Me honey's more than that day they announced here one Hager's new song off his new album and when she kisses with her lips so tight public I have but never had one til 12 or 13 in the 2000s fuck lets go back to the song... roqueleal

Just love this song since it came out & I saw Sammy in concert
One of my favorite all time songs; thanks Sammy!
Cabbo Wabbo
Perhaps owing to the fact the bar was set incredibly high with MONTROSE ( RIP ) , with very few exceptions, Sammy's solo output was rather poppy and "average" sounding to me. The songs were ok, but the musicianship was kinda mediocre. Anyway, I DO like Sammy, so I'm not saying this to be a Troll. I think he really hit his musical stride and highest confidence level in Van Halen, and his one-off project with Neal Schon in HSAS in the early '80s was KILLER !!
Check out GLITTER DOGS

entered Billboard Sept 15, 1979 ..reached #77
Yeah, something about a woman who is unpretentious, honest, and kind sure can get to a guy. Always liked this song.
Lets be honest: not even a solo? This song is filler. And even at that there is SOMETHING about this song. Maybe it's just all the memories that come back but... for a simple song there is something so damn catchy about it. And tben there's the memories.
For our parents the 70s were wild, revolutionary times, but looked at today our youth was so simple and yes innocent. I think about how naive I was in comparison to 9 year old boys today who have already watched "2 girls 1 cup" and find it to be tame. Life really was easier and simpler back tben and I would give a lot to spend just a few days in my 70's self again.
+UnYin99 cute how you think you win
+EndofMusic win what?
Yes, let's be honest. Just because one track happens to be mellower, does not mean it is bad. This song wouldn't have held together as an all out.
I wasn't trying to imply that it was bad, it just seems somewhat filler-ish. As I said there is something about this song that catches you.
All about the magic, dude
Always loved Plain Jane! The Red Rocker!!
I had a 1980 Trans Am. I paid $90.00 to have that screaming chicken taken off the hood. I loved the song "Trans Am" by Sammy and was all into the whole Trans Am Craze. I named mine "Plain Jane" since it had no bird on the front. Best memories in the world in that car.
Had a 73 Firebird with a 455. Man that thing was hard on tires.
my first car was a '69 mustang mach I. It was 10 years old, had a 351 Cleveland engine with a 4 barrel carb and a racing cam. I loved that old car but talk about a gas hog! Every time I would pass by a gas station it would cough! lol. I bought that car for 900 dollars I had saved up fro my after-school job.
@Brittannia Moon Britt.... Do you know how much that car would be worth today ? You could retire and me too !!!
Mach 1's from 69 or 70 were notorious for being royal pigs. Same body with a 428 required jacking up the engine to change the spark plugs .............. except I always cheat. 8 holes drilled in the fenderwells worked nicely, thank you.
My worst nightmare was a 69 Chevelle SS that the first owner had special ordered with a 327. Sounds like it should have been mild, right? My stepfather was worse than I was. Along with being a first rate mechanic. By the time we were done I was four full paydays poorer, and the proud owner of a 421 CID small block that was amped as far as you would dare take it for the street. 3 500 CFM Holley 2 barrels completely redefined gas gauges moving in real time. A set of rear tires might not survive the night. I had to buy a 69 Chevy van so I would have something to drive. Especially when it rained. That car consumed 99% of my speed lust. I was done.
It was good to hear this again; I used to hear this on the bus going to high school.
