Samuel must have been somewhats mixed up in 1982 as on this same LP he wrote "Your Love Is Driving Me Crazy." Come on Hagar get your she-it together and make your mind up!!

Context, dude. Listen to the lyrics. "I don't need love" means "I need sex, not love." "Your love is driving me crazy" means "sex with you is driving me crazy." Or maybe you're just being humorous.

This song introduced me to Sammy Hagar ... a little late though, sometime in 1984.

So a month ago I bought this on cassette while me and the girl I was talking to we're hanging out. We started dating not to long after that. Then I was blasting this album on cassette when some one called me and said she was cheating on me so the next day I went to school and one of my friends was taking about this girl he was dating and when he saw me he shut his trap. And I asked him how he was and he got in my face and said "don't talk to her don't look at her shes mine now" I grabbed him by the shirt and said if you want the whore she's yours cause I DONT NEED LOVE. Then today this song came on my youtube And the girl in taking to had her friend tell me that we should be just friends. (Got to love high schoolers the other fucks my age can't do their own dirty work) so I turned up my speakers and called her with this song blaring. I don't need love I just need sammy

So now the edit. The same cassette but now I have a truck. A 1976 Chevy. I got a call from the first girl I mentioned and I decided to give her a second chance. We were In the truck and she put this cassette in the truck and as soon as this song started playing I rewind the cassette no bad juju on me. Well this time I’ve fallen harder for her than last time. She is worth dating. We are currently taking time away from each other because she’s love me so much that she don’t want to be more than friends because she is afraid of loosing me... bs she’s been fooling around.
