Hackett, Steve - I Know What I Like Lyrics
It's one o'clock and time for lunch - dum dee dum dee dum
When the sun beats down and I lie on the bench
I can always hear them talk
There's always been Ethel:
And then Mr. Lewis:
"Isn't it time that he was out on his own"
Over the garden wall, two little love birds cuckoo to you
Keep them mowing blades sharp...
I know what I like
And I like what I know
Getting better in your wardrobe
Stepping one beyond your show
"Listen son, you're wasting time
There's a future for you in the fire-escape trade
Come up to town"
But I remembered a voice from the past:
"Gambling only pays when you're winning"
I had to thank old Miss Mort for schooling a failure
Keep them mowing blades sharp...
I know what I like
And I like what I know
Getting better in your wardrobe
Stepping one beyond your show
I know what I like
And I like what I know
Getting better in your wardrobe
Stepping one beyond your show
When the sun beats down and I lie on the bench
I can always hear them talk
Me, I'm just a lawnmower
You can tell me by the way I walk

Hackett, Steve I Know What I Like Comments
Kinda reminds me of a lounge act at the Holiday Inn.
Cory Allen
I’d sit through both sets
I'll be be seeing Mr. Hackett and his band performing Selling England by the Pound in a month!
Beautiful version... Amazing Nad!
Thanks for Tony bank, Rutherford, Collins..
And Jason Bonham drumming!!!!
WOW....he can sing a bit to...brilliant
Gary O' Toole is the drummer
Lee Pomeroy (bass) must feel like he's the luckiest man in the world. Always smiling and playing with top musicians!
Does it better than Daryl Stuermer, hell Steve Hackett wrote it!!!
Great performance, playing and singing is spectacular. Maybe not as warm as Collins version on Seconds Out, but amazing nonetheless. The jazz-fusion improvisation is a nice touch. Way to go Steve and The Band!!!
Don't forget that all those songs are very hard to sing and play for sure ! So I think that Nad Sylvan does his best to share Genesis 's music with us !
Steve Hackett is perfect as usual !
Great stuff, thank you for sharing :-)
so nice.
Steve's touring "selling England" in its entirety. Europe 2019
Ive got tickets for November Brighton Dome.
Thank God I got to go see Genesis in the seventies three times and yet Phill is so much better, God bless age.
I wonder which Les Paul Steve is using. It's got a tremolo bar. Is that a Floyd Rose pick up ?
Sandeep Sreehari its a fernandes guitar but i dont know the model
Nad Sylvan Rules
The best story of progressiv rock.......Steve always graet
From the best album of all times: Selling England by the Pound (1973).
No argument here.
Thank You Mr. Hackett! Nicely Done!
Talk about sucking all the life out of such a classic song, where the hell is the showmanship that both Peter Gabrial and Phil Collins put into the stage shows.
He's Fn Old Dude!
Hackett is 40 years older and you want his younger band showing him up. Its about the music...Dumbfuck
S.Hackett is no front man. Give him back his stool and put him left of centre.
god this sucks
sack the vocalist ... rest is ok
hardtolivealittleand be No.
Then why did you comment. This is fine to me. If you don’t like it, then don’t watch it.
People just like being negative and getting a reaction out of people.
seeing hackett in a week, gonna be epic :D
Love it, love it sooooo much!
sounds better than Gabriel himself lol
Skvělá verze! Moje poklona všem pánům
