GZA - Sparring Minds Lyrics
[GZA]
Designer and most of man
stands the front-end loader
hold enough weight that'll compensate the share-holders
Powerful motor controls are mad stable
Hundred ton air-jack, quickly raise the steel
After blowin' out the belt drive, Math' change the wheels
Bust ya, slash ya, we still thick like plaster
There's always potential full-on scale disasters
In the rec' [?] narrowly missin'
My camp be forced into periless proposition
We must come see ya, despite imminent danger
Was short on fuel, before he flew out the hangar
From the cold dirt, rocks and all, rap galore
Watch the river flow backwards once we storm the shore
On the ropes, hanging from the towel and cliffs and slopes
The magnitude of the devastation untold
The collective laws of countless souls lay in the road
[Inspectah Deck]
Insane flower, vein blower
Aim and it's game over
You know the name, flame-thrower
Got the code to the game and I hold the main controller
Soldiers from the jump, and today the same soldier
I stay low, play close to bank rolls
Parly with the greatest who walk the same road
Oh you ain't hear? Ain't nuttin' new but the gear
The crew of the year, kid too much to bear
Find out what I'm about, know the legend
The slight disrespect, of his name provoke tension
No threat, bringin' the force like Bobo-fet'
The old vet' WHOSE PRESENCE alone control the set
I'm next level, ya best settle, bless Rebel
I shine like a vessel, with strength to bend metal
Guns, head first in the grunge, become emerged the drums
The verse is murder one
[GZA]
We rhyme back-to-back, deangerous emcees
Move on track-to-track 100 bar measure
Lost treasure, those crews who never gave us much pleasure
Agreed the sound was good, shoppin' in the state, city, town and hood
eventually they would
Lay down the trademark with god that built wealth
To dip-dive in the beehive was on self
For the power struggle, never clown but did juggle
The heavy load made it explode to mad rubble
I thought of this tune on a blackout guided by the light of the moon
on a camp-out, the kerosine lamp out, so we walked the road we paved
with trails that left vinyl foot-steps engraved

Only released on Vinyl? I never got this on CD. And I had ALL of them WU classics. I’m playing killer instinct and I’m in shock. Lol
You know the name Flame thrower
The two best lyricists in the Clan...hands down.
The best lyricists from Wu and also the most underrated.
'Never clowned but did juggle'...JHEEEEEZ!!!!
This beat goes fucking hard man. When I first listened to this I obviously didn't realize how good this beat actually is
Deck's verse is indeed murder in the first degree.
sick track!!!
The #Beat & #Flow is Sick, Someone Call a #Paramedic
Insane floer vein blower aim and its game over u know the name flame. Thrower got the code to the game and i hold the main contrlloer soldier from the jump but today the same soldier. Deck be killin it 100

Much love too inspector deck you are one of my favorite ryeme creator's you can spit fire better than most
🎤🔥 still bumpin’ this in ‘18 God!
“The old vet, who’s presence alone control the set” are the lyrics I think
this album is treated like it was written by nas. UNFAIRLY!!!!!!!!!! needs WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY more fucking credit.
lmfao. i like illmatic but yeah i agree
Them beats are beastin
Would love for these two to do an album together with Preemo on production... A certified NYC classic
Eric Brooks 😯
damn, never thought of that. would be a classic for sure
Wow now THAT would be a DOPE album tbh
don't you think it's "large scale disasters" not full on scale disasters because full on scale would make no sense?
Muthu Dissanayake " ... always potential for large scale disasters" is gza's line
kataxthonios rap challenge kaneis allos? xD
εδω μετα απο 2 χρονια xD
Two of the most lyrically proficient members of the Wu.
video.james the only 2 I listen too
this shit makes me wanna slap n#!#! in da face it goes that hard.
yesyesyes
100 ton airjack quickly raise the steel
Beat is crazy
back to back dangerous MC's
thank you
Why is Math using beltdrives?
lol, just go with it
It's a methaphor for turntables.
Deck was always underrated throughout the clan... In my opinion these two are the best from the Wu
John Lansing I agree gza and deck best of the wu
GZA then Deck... top lyricist.. not body of work, not fame, pure wordplay, metaphors, vocabulary, references.. than Ghost and RZA, than RAE and Meth, followed by Ugod and Masta Killa (tho both, especially Ugod can go bananas too)... meth has the best flow bar none.. RZarectar and Early rae were aggressive as hell and I loved them.. Killa sin, Killa Priest, Dom Pachino, Prodigal Sun, La the darkman.. damn the wu was too ill... Pop the brown hornet.. damn...
GZA knew it too and was a main founder. Hence the title name, Sparring Minds, using the 2nd best of Wu...Deck.
Deck is underrated throughout hip hop not just the clan, if he never lost that album in the flood the trajectory of his career could of been completely different
@MickyMicky Mike probably the most accurate rating of The Wu I've seen.
Ghost has the most/best album line-up easily tho.
