He is more lyrical on other albums, but not consistently like for instance Pro Tools has moment where it's superior to Liquid Swords lyrics but it also has Paper Plates, therefore it isn't consistent enough.

i love the GZA but i might disagree. i heard him say i nan interview that he thinks Liquid Swords is his best album because of RZA's production, but its not his best lyrical work. maybe Beneath the Surface, but i could be wrong

to be honest I don't think that freestyling really matters when determining a great emcee. Freestyling is ill but if a rapper can write better then someone that can freestyle and write it would make them better overall since they do have better lyrics overall

Their individual albums show that they could have came out as separate artist and still would have been dope. You are absolutely right that at the end of the day it's all subjective. But when names start to match up on different list then there's got to be some truth there. Yeah I think RAS KASS would smoke Eminem or Pace Won and Yong Zee for that matter; whose style Eminem completely stole to become famous with.

Emimen was not the most lyrical of all time. First of it is subjective so at the end of it all, it is just an opinion. But I think Ras Kass was more lyrical. Freestyle wise, KRS One would had taken out Emimen.

Lets not get ahead of ourselves here. I fucking love GZA, but eminem is by far the most lyrical MC of all time. Even his fuck around songs are just lyrically perfect even though the substance itself is a joke/shouldn't be taken seriously.

Liquid Swords is more consistent lyrically and production wise. GZA maybe is't even talking about albums, he could be talking about a song, his most lyrical song could be on another album..overall I'm pretty sure Liquid Swords is his most lyrical, followed by Legend of the LS, Beneath the Surface and Grandmasters.

It's true though it seemed like his flow was very lazy even though GZA is clearly not lazy (proof: his lyrics). Black Milk did incredible job on 7 Pounds. Lyrically it's amazing, 0% Finance & Alphabets.

Grandmasters is incredible with Exploitation of Mistakes & Queen's Gambit, but I don't think it's as consistent as Liquid Swords is. Duel of the Iron Mic, Living in the World Today, Gold, Cold World, Labels (Fame & Queen's Gambit are better though), 4th Chamber, Swordsman (UNDERrated), Investigative Reports and Killah Hills 10304. To me he is one of my favorites and the knowledge he drops on Rip the Jacker in insane, but like I said in my other post I think GZA is better. GZA is more clever than Canibus, Canibus uses bigger words but he is not trying to be smart like many people say, he actually is very smart. Songs like Poet Laureate make my brain explode. Also K-Rino, very similar to Canibus, I think he is a little bit better.
