When I listen to this, the lyrics suggest that Axl got a woman pregnant and she had an abortion and that is what this songs about. Anyone else hear this or I am reading to much into the lyrics?

Axl Rose was good, but Chris Cornell was better than any musician from that time period. Axl himself said Chris Cornell had the best voice in rock.

The way he's singing in the end some of those notes must be pretty high, not sure if it's falsetto or his real/natural voice or what it's called, amazing though no matter how he does it, can't stop listening to the ending

I love the ending off this song, his higher vocals sound so cool. I hope they will tour in Europe soon too as I missed this tour because off life. You are lucky to have seen them twice already, damn angry I'e never seen them. At least I hope the rumors about a new album are true, really hope it's good too, I'm bit nervous about that.

2:37 to 4:18 literally the most part of the song is ecellent( for no say literally al the song).

Probably the best song on the album. The string arrangement was Paul Buckmaster..RIP man. Beautiful first solo by Robin Finck and a touching outro by Buckethead.

when i listen to this song, i imagine an older Axl Rose in a courtyard on a winter's afternoon, playing chess on a stone table while drinking shots of whiskey on ice. He's done it all. He's received everything he ever wanted. He's writing and singing what's on his mind. Money has nothing to do with it. And rightly or wrongly - no original band members have anything to do with it either. "What i thought was beautiful - don't live inside hair metal anymore".

To me this song feels little sad too as it feels like he's sitting there all alone but at the same time with the powerful ending he doesn't really give a fuck, he's okay with how it is and how things turned out, he maybe lost some things but he experienced it all too. What I personally sort from get from listening to lot of the songs of this album, he has lost the person he loved (but sees she was not for him), his band, some friends but at the same time he has chanced/matured and in a way to something new, maybe not sure what yet. I really, really like this album, it feels like he was putting his heart out. Would be so interesting if they made a new album and see the path where he is now. Honestly now that I though about it the GNR albums little bit feel like Axl's life story (specially some of the songs), no need to write a book haha.

Love Axl Rose's voice!!! Perfect pitches trump 'perfect b*tches'... aka negatives & trolls. Another stunning song capturing raw emotions & putting them into a melody which millions of strangers can all personally be moved by & relate to.... no small achievement by any rational person's assessment.

Better piano ballad than November Rain IMO

i personally think this is the best song that gnr has ever released, even with slash and duff. Just the emotion put into this album compared to the rebellion that was put in their older stuff prior to 2000. But, this is an opinion, and we are all entitled to that. We also ALL share different views on music as a whole

Song #4 review of giving this album a chance.
The voices of the Jolly Green Giant and Axel going back and forth were pretty entertaining but it feels like it's a parody of an exaggerated attempt to be the greatest ballad of all time. Kinda cringey. Good musicianship though, of course.

@Tony Stark Gun N Roses son de la época de los 80 realmente pero este albúm es del 2008, yo también vengo descubriendo bandas, pero de los 80 y 90, en esa época estaban las mejores bandas, no como ahora.

Este disco es como el vino mas pasa el tiempo y mejor es disco muy criticado pero el tiempo lo va poniendo en su lugar excelente disco

Slow the song down and listen...It's plain as day.
