Honestly, out of the 14 years of my life I've been jamming to good music like this, this is my new favorite to play. I understand why people are jealous of them, because they couldn't do anything this badas*. I'm a drummer and I really dig this tune a lot, it's pretty frosty.

Yes! Within the familiarity there is something fresh! I totally get where these guys are coming from. I had a musician stepfather who's collection of 60's and early 70's rock gave me my formal listening education in the genre, and I hear not just Zep, but the Who, Kinks, Aerosmith, Jeff Beck, Rainbow, and even some Black Crows from the 80's.

It’s interesting how the musicians in GVF sound eerily close to the Black Crows and Zeppelin, just a hint now I say and with that said once Josh belts his unique one and only voice of his this in itself makes it unmistakably Greta Van Fleet.

My dad raised me on classic rock and I'm 17 so my generation really doesn't mess with that genre of music and let's be real music these days isn't what it used to be there are few artist that make genuine art through music and gvf brought it back for the culture it's really damn refreshing to hear this acquired sound I absolutely love it especially in this day and age,. All love 🌹

Led Zeppelin II hidden track

i'm trying to listen to GVF and you tube keeps throwing zeppelin songs at me - all of a sudden zeppelin is relevant again ...

Rush + Zep + AC/DC + massive amounts of GVF = Greta Van Fleet. I believe the magic to their music is not the voice. I am drawn into the WHOLE PACKAGE of GVF. I am amazed in the construction of the songs, in the intricacies of the rhythm, the drums, the GUITAR rock blues and the usage of the voice as a partial instrument. If I would critique ever so slightly, it would be to wish some songs have harmony with one or both of the other brothers. Imagine doing a few ballads in the style of the Eagles, or the Scorpions Wind of Change. I am not wishing Greta to be anyone other than themselves (they seem to be coming along just fine, thank you), but to have some more exploration in slower tunes to challenge mid range vocals would be great. I feel that the voice sometimes relies on the screech factor too much, and he will ruin his vocal cords. If he sings more from the gut, then he can show more mid range sound and slow down some tunes. Led Zep definitely had a repertoire of songs with much vocal range and styles. I am a fan trying to be critique fully honest. Keep up the good work and keep growing musically GVF!

Yep it is amazing many havent heard how much Rush is in this. These guys are their own band. Ive heard people say ACDC but the Rush is a miss for most. Triumph too. They are a Michigan band and Michigan loves Canadian power trios.
