The bass, keyboard, drums and percussion in this song is something divine and in my opinion, no other reggae band I've heard has this and I've heard a lot in my 43 years.
Two other gregory songs that I consider to have something magical, which are:
Border and Not The Way.
I saw his show in Rio de Janeiro - Brazil in 1998 and it was memorable.

i listen to the whole of selection when ever i can it is so level headed, Gregory Isaacs is a really good poet who has maintained a profound understanding of human nature its a loss but he has left great music he found a way to saying the thing we can have never come to say- R.I.P-- thank you brother it was important to me

RIP Gregory . I've been listening to this music since I was a kid, I have fond memories of when I was 4. I am now 18 and I still love these songs, they are simply timeless.

I hate to say that reggae..with the exception of Bob Marley.. didn't make it to the mainstream music radio where I live.It is ONLY because of a new friend..who is a great reddae artist himself)..that I even heard the names Beres and Gregory.(Thanks my friend..you know who you are :D) Now I have lots of "new" music to explore.

It's a Linval Thompson production called "Negrea African Dub" or "Nigrea Africa Dub" available on Trojan's Dub Box Set volume 2. Both the vocal cut and the dub are AMAZING!
