Greg Graffin - The Fault Line Lyrics
The sun comes up with promise and my eyes burn open wide
And the sting compounds the torture from the vacant hole inside
My conscious recollection of the past events all seem
To verify the emotion that now envelops me
Oh-oh, stagnant as the stone
Oh-oh, Weathered and alone
Living on the fault line
There's no one here to listen but there's always room for more
They pretend to give you your say before they slam the door
There's very little patience, and very little love
There's just your constant puzzlement for what you're guilty of
Oh-oh, Stagnant as the stone
Oh-oh, Weathered and alone
Living on the fault line
No one need deliver me from such a familiar place
I've come to terms and work in this ribald downtrodden state
It's subliminal friction under a kind of veneer
And a form of cold injustice that keeps me stationed here
Oh-oh, Dogged as a drone
Oh-oh, Stagnant as the stone
Oh-oh, Weathered and alone
Living on the fault line

Greg Graffin The Fault Line Comments
Been a huge fan of Bad Religion and Greg for as long as they've been accessible. Saw Bad Religion in Milwaukee about 15 years ago or so. Guy at the merch stand was a total dick to me because I don't fit his image of what an alternative, punk should be. FUCK YOU!!
One of Graffin's most outstanding songs. I have always admired his willingness to explore musical forms other than the anthemic tsunami of sound we're used to with Bad Religion.
turn the paaaaage
I wish the digital copy was available. This is a wonderful album.
I hope you kept that shit nice. I can't find it ANYWHERE but in mp3 format.
I've been a Graffin fan since 1998.
WISH I could say longer.
I love knowing people like you exist.
Amazing.
Greg Graffin is one of the greatest poets of all time. I truly am honored to be born in his generation.
Yeah, I found on early copy of this in a record store in Chicago. It was under one of the record racks in old dusty plastic. My ex threw it away when I moved out. Pretty hard to find an original first pressing.
The Album is pretty rare.. I grew up in Southern California, right in BR's backyard, and its still hard to get. I have been a BR fan since '92, and I am glad it's on here. I'll buy it, now that I know how awesome it is. And big thanks to the American who posted it.. This album is to great to not be heard.
Got my copy at warped tour in Reno the year green day headlined
don't know, whats wrong whith you, Americans!! In my opinion, the songs from this album by Greg are one of the best folk songs ever heard....and now they are on youtube?! bought this album, when Bad Religion played in Vienna, 1997, and still...amazingly great!
Wow, this finally made it onto youtube :)
