Green, Al I Want To Hold Your Hand Comments
I thought Stevie Wonder's We Can Work It Out was the best Beatles cover, till I heard this.
Brilliant soul.
i wanted it to be better but Al you let me down
Bad Mfkr clowned..
Amazing!
John was always upset that people covered Paul's songs and not his. He must have liked this version.
Al bodied this cover 😭😭💜
Back when people had musical talent,
I love the feeling I get from this cover
wow! bellissima cover!
Wow this blew me away and I am a major Beatles fan.
Al Green is a genius the he made this song so mind blowing and different.
If he had've got his hands on this right here first there would've been no British invasion! He utterly destroyed this song with all of that soul. All hail the king!!
pure genius
This is better than the original!
Great cover, but lakeside DeeeSTROYED this song.
Yes they did indeed Lakeside did something else to it OMG!
Wow! I love the Beatles' original but I love this cover even more! Al Green took this song from Liverpool, England and gave it the Memphis Soul treatment. Like turning butter into cream!
I mean is really great, it's really groovy. But it's Al Green imitating Otis Redding singing the song by The Beatles LOL. This is younger Al Green, like his second album so his sound wasn't there yet, and a lot of artists imitate other artists when they haven't developed their true sound yet so I understand, but I'm just telling you it's Al Green imitating Otis Redding doing a Beatles song
Who WASN'T influenced by Otis? Give the Rev his due; he tore it up!
I give Al Green all the do in the world, but this is not his sound, not with it going to be
shut up al green
dobbsiancant u shutup
"Shut up Al Green" XD
I am telling you the truth when I say I have never heard this one before. All I can say is DAMN.
essa versão ficou muito legal ,show !!!
Paul mccartney pre show in 2010!
RAISE THE ROOF!
Beautiful !!
Awesomely amazing.
Awesomely amazing.
awsome!
How come everybody has made a better cover of Beatles songs?
aloko baju I think it just proves what great, well-written songs they are in the first place. They can be arranged and reinterpreted again and again since the spine of the songs is so strong
Wow! he makes this better than the Beatles !!!! AMAZING !!!!!!
i'm a HUGE beatles fan but i gotta admit, this *might* top the original. so good.
the beatles were inspired by BLACK GROUPS. Remember that. This is what they WANTED TO sound like... but they were just four innocent English boys. Not some hard grown memphis tenessee grandsons of slaves brothers...
True. So were the Rolling Stones and Led Zeppelin.
No, "might" about it fool
No kidding. I think Al might own this now. This could be a wicked cool wedding song. I never heard it as a love song before. Al REALLY wants to hold her hand. Thanks for posting.
@Courson that's why the best bluesman of that generation was Hendrix.
Damn I love al s version yeah its got the big o's flavor still hot and soulful to me.
such a nice song!
Brilliant. Soul music. Tamla sound. Otis. Love it.
Makes me think of Otis Redding a little bit!
Got to! Got to!
Try Otis' version of Day Tripper and Satisfaction, The Markeys sound like an express train as the house band.
Hands down the best cover.
Listen to Lakeside's.....
Wish this was longer.
That's what she said
A darn good cover - up there with my top 5 Beatles cover songs. Al at his best - making it his own.
Have you heard "Hey Jude" by Wilson Pickett w/ Duane Allman?
Shut up Al Green :)
The Reverend Al Green and The Beatles...two of my favorites!!
I approve. This is a lovely version.
:07 shut up al green!
