Everytime I hear this version of the song, I just cry and think of all the times I have been heartbroken just like her like for real I know some people are mad at her for hitting on him but tbh all what she wanted was to feel like she was important and not just some girl helping with a showmans business.....I mean its just sad because I have been in the same situation as her before when I used to sang alot back then I used to sing this beautiful song that I forgot the name of and when I met this person I fell in love and when I felt heartbroken I sang the same song and it came out just like this 💔💔💔😭😭😭

I wish they didn't paint Jenny Lind this way even though this was mostly fictional; because in reality she quit singing and ended up married and content and the song would still fit her character.

Imaging hearing from all around that "Jenny Lind is the best singer in America and the UK, she's so passionate and powerful in her performances".
Then you decide to go see for yourself and witness her having an emotional breakdown on stage, I'd be pissed tbh.

Studyo Gangsta Lip syncing is not easy! Even if you just move your lips you have to present the emotion given by the singer and not everybody can do that! Pls you stop being so negative about this. I think she made a great job interpreting the song with her movements and her mimic. This song is in my opinion a really really hard one not just everyone can get those belts and high notes withouth practice. I myself had problems when I started practicing this song. There are so many emotions in it that even this actress did not show the full pensum of emotions. I think in this point your right, the singer should have sang it, but only for the sake of bringing out more emotions. But don't blame it on the actress only, thank you.

He didn’t use her! He needed someone to make him bigger and he felt something between the two of them, but knew it wasn’t right! Using someone is like loving a your famous wife and you get money from it and you don’t really love her!

Well, this isn’t entirely true. The real Barnum was actually harassing HER for her affection, not the other way around. The movie made it seem like she was this tramp, desperate for love, going after a married man 😒

The problem here is one part says its her fault and calling her a bitch, while the other part puts all the blame to him for not clarifying things earlier and not being clear on not having any romantic interess etc.
The reality is, they're both at fault.
She should have not gone too far to avenge her broken heart, he on the other hand should've controlled his greediness (and should have been more clear on what type of relationship they have early on.... Which is of him using her for money and fame).
