Grass Roots, The - No Exit Lyrics
No way out
How did I get in?
No exit
Gold rays of sunshine to make my death a brighter day
Oh, no exit
Whalebacks with tea, green-gray walls are closing in on me now
Eternity; will I die? I'll find the way to my exit
Oh, no exit
I'll never find the way
Tomorrow's like yesterday, yeah
Must be the bright South Bay
I'll never get away, no exit
Gold rays of sunshine to make my death a brighter day, now now
Bricks behind the doors of mine; will I die and find the way to my exit?
Oh, no exit
I'll never find the way
Tomorrow's like yesterday, yeah
Must be the bright South Bay
I'll never get away, no exit
Ah, ah...
No way out
How did I get in?
No exit

belisario guerra or anyone else out there: I would be grateful if someone out there could post the correct complete lyric to this song. There are one or two parts I cannot figure out for the life of me. Thanks again and best wishes to you all - Lenny.
Easily one of the all-time great songs by anyone!!!!
Do you have the lyrics for no exit? Yes my favorite too... but can not find the lyrics. Thank you for your direction ☺
Excuse me but I made an error in my last transmission. I actually knew both Warren and Rick, not Creed. Rick Coonce was by far the the best, most electrifying, dynamic drummer of the 60's. At one point in the late sixties, he had this enormous drum kit. He did things on the drums I've never seen anyone else do. I've seen both Keith Moon and Ginger Baker perform but I contend that neither one could hold a candle to Rick. Rest In Peace by friend.
this is one incredible song - as is house of stone another tune written by the band. The best grassroots lineup by far was Rob,Warren,Rick, and Creed! their best albums by far were Let's live for today, Feelings, and Lovin' Things. The band started going downhill as soon as Creed departed in 1969 and continued getting worse after that. They were at their artistic peak with the aforementioned lineup.I only wish they continued creating music like that. I used to know both Warren and Creed .
Lenny do you know if this is Dan Hamilton's composition? Hamilton's did not have any lyrics. Did Slone add the words? Thanks just curious ☺
JimCheer If you also have "Out of touch" from the same album, it will be great if you can upload it too. Thanks
Interesting video to go with the song. Nice!!
