Grass Roots, The - Baby, You Do It So Well Lyrics
It's like I told you many times before
Girl's gotta do certain things and more
Girl's supposed to keep a hold on her man
Gotta do what she can
You do it so well
You do it so fine, child
You do it so well, baby
You do it so fine
Go ask any man in the neighborhood
What a girl's gotta do to make him feel good
He'll say (yeah, yeah) she's gotta kiss him
(Yeah, yeah) she's gotta love him
(Yeah, yeah) all night and day!
Baby (woo), wow, baby!
You do it so well (you do it so well, baby)
You do it so fine (you do it so well, baby)
You do it so well (you do it so well, baby)
You do it so fine little girl (you do it so well, baby)
Oh, yeah (you do it so well, baby)
Oh, yeah (you do it so well, baby)
I'd known alotta girls before
But you put them all to shame
The way you love me; love me some more
I get the shivers when you call my name
Yeah, yeah; yeah, yeah
You know a girl's gotta be more than friend
Gotta be there on they day that it ends
(Yeah, yeah) stand by him
(Yeah, yeah) right at home
(Yeah, yeah) make him know
(Yeah, yeah) that he belongs
She'll say, oh she'll say
You do it so well (you do it so well, baby)
You do it so fine, child (you do it so well, baby)
Oh, yeah (you do it so well, baby)
You do it so well (you do it so well, baby)
Oh, yeah (you do it so well, baby)
Oh, yeah (you do it so well, baby)
Oh, baby (you do it so well, baby)
Oh (you do it so well, baby)...

Thanks Kathleen for checking these out and have a great day from Lloyd :)
This incredible band never got the respect due to them, still till this day and its very sad. They really had a lot a talent and lots of great music besides their hits.
I agree. Thanks Karen for checking it out.
lennieavirett - You're nailed it right on the head! Rob was great but Warren was at least equally as vital to their success as were Rick and Creed!! Warren Entners voice and other contributions to the group have been terribly underestimated by most - an unfortunate shame.
MrGoldenthroat, I must agree with you about Warren. Although I was not there, it appears to me that Warren was the driving force, the leader, and certainly the spokesman for the group. Rob was blessed with an amazing voice and incredible good looks, but seemed almost painfully shy in the early years. Without Warren’s guidance, I doubt they could have had the success they did. Anyway, Warren and Creed were the first two members of the group we all came to know and love! Only after Warren left did Rob come out of his shell a bit and start running the show.
Again, thanks! I loved the fact that Warren's talents were in the forefront on a lot of these songs! The earthie richness of his voice and the style of a lot of these songs were trully "Grass Roots" to me!
