I love this song. I listen to it each time I have a furbaby pass. Yesterday my cat I have had sense I was 5 years old was ready to go. I spent the whole day laying with her, she was wrapped in my mom's blanket, on the bed. My dad came to say his goodbyes and cry. Around 9 pm she passed while my mom and I laid with her and my mom kept her hand over her heart and she told me it stopped and I couldn't even bare the years anymore I started to bawl and her heart started beating for a few seconds until she let out a breath and passed. I'm and thankful she got to live an amazing 18 years with me and grow up with me im thankful she got to pass away peacefully at home surrounded by ones she loves. She was one of kind a very caring loving girl. As a kid and a teen I would cry and have a meltdown and Juanita was ALWAYS there to rub on me out of worry. No other cat or dog has done that to me. Thank you Juanita , you gave me the best moments of my life. Juanita ping came into my life in 2003- passed away 1/5/2020 I love you sweet girl now you can be with Petey, Mochi, Snoopy, lady, and Endo.

as you get a 'lot older' this song has many interpretations...(I know it is about his dog) but as time passes on the people you lose along the way, both in death and/or moving on in life gets you thinking what its all about (life), depressing actually! As in the video, 1 minute your a child, carefree (as I was)...then in a blink, responsibilities have robbed that spirit and not to be found again, even after searching 50 years for it. 3am time for bed on that high point....

I dont have to say it, but i want to. This song brings up what we all have, or will feel at some point in time, the feeling of loss, even regret. The passage of time that escapes, and the wander of what happened. This is truly amazing. Through animation, and sound, it shows me just what i feel having lost my Mother, Dog, and girlfriend of four amazing years, Its hurts, alot. This song is special, Thank you Gotye.

I got a guinea pig in the summer going into seventh grade. He was six months old, and I couldn't wait for him to adjust to our house so I could hold him every day. I already had a name planned the second we saw him. He was getting chased around by another guinea pig who wouldn't let him eat or drink at the store, so I knew right away he would be the one.
he was just like a puppy. Within a month, he would ask for us to hold him by squeaking whenever he heard our voices.
He would follow me around the house when I let him out and fall asleep in my arms.
Time went on, and I'd had him for about six months when I stopped paying as much attention to him. I'd pick him up, but put him on the couch and not really pet him while i did other things. He had something on his head that me and my mom didn't really know was a problem until he started losing his balance. Falling over at random times, slipping on his cage.
My mom planned a vet trip for Sunday to see what the problem was. I woke up and he wasn't in his cage.


I was waiting for my mom to come back with him, and when she did, he was dead. I cried and held his body swaddled in a blanket, and in that moment i regretted everything. I regretted not giving him attention and distancing myself. But it was too late. It's been three months, and we got two baby guinea pigs two days after, for the sake of being able to see guinea pig food without crying, and thinking of them instead.
One of my guinea pigs, Rosie, reminds me so much of him. I feel like he's still there, in a way, but if I think of him, I start crying still.


He still should've lived so much longer, is what I say to myself. It's not fair that he died. So many things he never got to do, all because of random chance.


I hope he's in heaven now.

I used to wrestle and play with my siblings at my house. I’d play with my cousins at reunions and spend the night with them when my dad had to work night shifts. When I started learning music, I couldn’t keep away from my mom’s piano, so she put me in piano lessons and I loved every minute of it. I tried to find good distractions from my parents’ back-and-forth bickering over their divorce they had since I was two—some ways were better than others. Now at 22, I’m a living pharmacy praying for resolutions for my recently-found epilepsy, I can’t keep my hands out of my hair, and I’m always questioning if I’m fit for my degree even though people tell me all the time that I’ll do fine. I’m just about broke from bills. Adulting sucks.

This reminds me of my friends a lot.
They moved like 2 years ago. We do have their number but it still hurts. We went outside every single day and just hung out. There was a playground across the street so we just went over there when we had nothing else to do. We would make little videos of us with some puppets I got for Christmas. One day they did not go to school and my mom told me the bad news. They had to move to Arizona for a personal reason and we made one last video of us and the puppets. I saw them go in the car and they drove off. Later on my mom told me that they are doing good and are making friends. That made me both happy and sad. I’m happy that they are doing good and have new friends but them having new friends really hits me. Even know I know they will never replace me and my brother it still makes me a little sad. But what would they do without friends?

We put our girl down yesterday, she had been sick for weeks but we never expected cancer. She may have only gotten 3 years, but they were happy. I watched her go, and it was painless for her, but this song eases the pain in my heart.

I held one of my best friends in my arms today as he was put down at only 7 years old. Didn't even see it coming. He was the coolest cat. I raised him from the moment he came from the womb. The grief i'm feeling is akin to losing a family member. The bond is real. I loved him so much and i'm a little lost right now.

A song about life, love, and loss and as much as we try, we can never truly go back to that simple and wondrous time in our lives.
