The stuff they're trying to push as country music today is not country music. Good country music is about emotions, passions and feelings that bring back those memories of a different time and place. New country singer's music cannot arouse those feelings because they don't touch the heart. It sounds shallow and hollow because it is. If it had taste it would taste like food with no seasoning.

I use to go see Vern at the West Texas Country Club on the corner of Stewart Avenue and Cleveland Avenue in Atlanta on Wednesday night's in 1985.............there will never be a male country singer who can touch him. They don't call him the VOICE for nothing. I miss u, Vern.
