A theory about this song is that it's about Damon Albarn communicating to his daughter Missy about how they're growing apart. Then again, theres many interpretations. Gorillaz songs are so deep, that even when I get into new music Gorillaz remains my favorite all time band.

Wow, after listening to it with that interpretation the final "I love you so much these days" makes me choke up

You guys don’t know the meaning of this song? It’s about someone with depression and alcohol addiction. Also maybe drugs since 2D says about taking pills, and he’s gotten high of painkillers a bunch of times. It might be a relaxing song to listen to at first, but the more you listen and take in the lyrics, it becomes sad and like a call for help, but in song form.
