I see no one talking about that short part starting at 1:03 and it’s killing me, it feels as if they made emotional numbness into a sound. It (to me, obviously) feels like it was original a very emotional and expression tune but is now a washed out, bland, dry, empty tune. It’s the type of sound that would play after you’ve hung your self and your suffocating to death, those quick- yet infinitely long seconds where too much is happening at once and the brain is in such an overwhelmed state it channels out, empty.

This is the epitome of 2-D’s Stockholm Syndrome

I think this sing coulf be about Murdoc or Ace's time with Gorillaz. He wanted to stay longer and you can hear 2D sniffle towards the end like it pained him to sing this. He wanted Ace to stay too.

This song is just too beautiful. Damon's voice is so amazing in this album, so smooth and mesmerizing. I can't stop listening to this album and this song in particular.

This is a great song and all, but the static I hear when albarn is singing hurts my ears, wish they clean it up in the near future, it's an amazing track!

this album seems like It holds the most emotion in connection to the bands’ characters, although plastic beach doesn’t follow far behind with that, and It really shows during this song & the life visuals of It, and– not to be that guy, but– It’s directed At murdoc, and i feel like this phase of gorillaz is, by far, one of the most emotional ones. although, that’s just my opinion x

Murdoc is an abusive ass and is keeping 2d in the band against his will the only reason 2d misses him is due to stockholm syndrome

everyone’s saying this could be about 2D missing murdoc but here’s my question, why tf would he miss murdoc? During the #freemurdoc phase 2D had a little inverview thing where he said something along the lines of “why do you want him back?! Do you know what he’s done to me?! after all that and you still think he deserves freedom/justice” while yelling in distress. He wouldn’t make a song literally crying at the end about missing someone that has almost killed him MULTIPLE TIMES just after saying to everyone that leaving him in prison is good.

Omg! There’s a comment saying this is about Murdoc! In the live they only showed pictures of Murdoc. Murdoc was in prison and Ace is in the song for now which I think is pretty interesting. I like how they teamed up with Powerpuff Girls but yeah for those who didn’t know Murdoc did get the band together. Murdoc ran over 2-D with a car.😆

The fact that this song didn't get a music video is a crime. I feel like Souk Eyes and Fireflies could've really had something beautiful- those two songs and ESPECIALLY this one just feel like one in a million to me. Tranz video was still great and it was still a great song, It just hurts a little we never got to see this song in the art form it deserves. Such a beautiful song by an amazing band.
