    My resolution this year is to take up running. Never been much into cardio, I've always been more of a weightlifting guy. But due to injury I cannot lift like I used to. Plus as I'm approaching 40 I'm find that I'm gaining fat and its getting more difficult to shift it. With a family history of heart disease the penny has dropped that I'm soon gonna be at the same age my Dad was when had his first heart attack. Wish me luck guys.

    I think I like jogging..I didn't really do it before outside my room which is incredibly small..I live in a diffecult environment where you don't see girls wearing sports wear or do any sports in public plus we don't have any women's club's in the area..but I'm done following the roles years ago and I'm gonna do it tomorrow..I will jog with my hijab in our getto ,man dominated neighborhood 💪I hope I will not chicken out🙄

    i honestly used to despise running and had always thought of people who run for fun are crazy motherfuckers. But looking at myself now and where i am, i feel so so ahppy and proud that i've started running, it's only been a couple of months, but it has already changed me so much in terms of understanding patience, having greater work ethic, and the idea that you can always push yourself to do more. I am so glad and thankful that this has happened to me during my first year of college, i truely believe it is something that i've gained for myself that i will never lose that will continuously affect my life in positive ways.

    Anyone else has been running but then after overrunning you get injured then you get depressed and then go through depression until you wake up?
    I fear once I start this will happen I know life is a lesson but we should be careful too and so my question is how can I avoid the depression taking place running daily and eventually getting into karmic patterns?

    Hey i have a question: i've been running every since last week and I don t know yet how long I should run. Let me explain: i started with 15 minutes and every day I increase the time by one minute but eventually it will become reallt long and so I don t know if i should just run 15 minutes every morning to help me waking up and at the same time run in the afternoon 3 times a week for the time I want with the aim to accomplish a marathon in few months or train hard the morning but with empty stomach and the necessiy of getting up earlier and earlier. Please give me some advice. Thank you!

    I work at the airport used to wake up at 4:40 to get there at 4:55 and start work at 5:00
    I now wake up at 4:00 and get there for 4:20 and run on the ramp from 4:30 till 5:00
    I have to sleep earlier now but I feel better during the day :)

    Here is my little story. I used to shift from running in a park to gym cardio... after a while my muscules started to get shape as i didnt get from my running. But my face didnt look as young as when i was running. The skin.. everything become more grey. I thought wtf? I just went for a run in the park and when i come back i undesrstud what i was need. Dont stop guys!

    Running has nothing to do with image in fact the opposite is true .... you may be called a skinny crackhead or something alike..... but when you run every morning it makes you feel so calm, happy n content and it is literally life changing however be prepared to look very thin if you a man.... nowadays “bigger is better mentality” did you know running reversed my receding hairline I put this down to more oxygen to the hair follicles.     Last night I stayed up all night not being able to sleep, and when I looked outside around 5:00 AM it was already getting brighter. The sky looked so beautiful, a mix of orange, pink and blue covered with little white clouds. I can’t remember seeing the sky like this since I’m rarely awake around that time. It really caught me and gave me this mixed feeling of hope, melancholy and motivation, I can’t really explain it.
    As I was looking at the sky while listening to music it really urged me to stand up, leave the house and just run. I ended up not doing it, clinging too much on to my daily routine.
    I regret that, so I’m going to wake up at 4:00 AM this night and just go for it. I don’t know but I think running in the morning can really help give you a boost to step out of your comfort zone. At least that’s what it feels like to me, considering I’ve been putting off working out for a while now, but this really made me *want* to go out and run instead of avoiding it.
