Good, Matthew - Army Of Lions Lyrics

Go on now come alive
nothing in here is true
nothing but the hole they’ve measured out for you
if you’ve tried to sing along but never known the tune
in your heart come realize
you’ve got an army of lions and all the claws they bring
got an army of lions to rule everything

Go on now come to life
got nothing left to lose
nothing but the hole punched clear and ever through
that never sings along
that’s never been in tune
in your heart come realize
you’ve got an army of lions and all the claws they bring
got an army of lions to rule everything

What year is that car? My first car was 78 Chevy impala, exact same colour, but my car didn't have round mirrors on the doors. And mine was a 2 door too, lol, and much longer with the bubble back window and burgundy left for front quarter panel that I replaced with a 1983 panel after I bought the car, because there was a dent in it from previous owner. And it fit.296 cu ,plastic timing gears, and I wrapped her around a 6 inch oak tree in Millbridge Ontario, Old Hastings road.120 yards in mid air before she dove towards the tree that was 3 feet off the side of the road.

Just saw him in Calgary for the "I Miss New Wave" Tour. Fucking incredible. One of the artists of my youth, so happy to see him. His struggles with mental illness have really helped me to get through. Thanks Matt Good.

Good. Needs more movement to match the song. Good song, but it's not substantiated by the video. Even an okay song can be supported by an awesome video and both come together to make something interesting. Needs faster clips, more cuts. Nothing wrong with the visuals you have. They look good. Building verticals are cool. I don't get the story. The guy (Who? There's no attention paid to anything about him, nothing interesting. He's not wearing or doing anything which catches attention.) goes from an expansive harbour to a dingy garage in an alley. Doesn't match the song. Should be the other way around. The lyrics being on an overlay, the picture video can be recut.

I'm talking aesthetic layers of visuals to give depth (the music is already done, and I like this song...although the music could use some layering and reworking too, to be sensational that is). But I guess your point is that you can be counterintuitively deep if you film a shallowly silly clip of a guy walking blandly down the street...and say you're radical b/c the depth is the sarcastic play on the shallow, and, can't you see it? No? I'm not one for subtlety. I like people to say what they mean and mean what they say. If there is nuance in his few lyrics that you want to have deep discussions over I'm sure they're lost on me and I really don't care. It would be nice if his really good kernels would develop though. That's the word I wanted! HIs older songs did, but they probably had the input of the other band members. More heads...(just make the soup saltier and saltier)...add things beyond what the originator envisioned because other people see things the first one didn't, and spin them adding their own moments of creativity. But if you'd care to give a treatise on the poetry of the lyrics I'd love to read it. I'm procrastinating jogging.

+Elaine Morrison If you've actually been following him for a while, and you still don't know what he's talking about, then I'd say he's probably not talking to you.

    E.... M....

Who said he was talking to me? I'm just watching a video. You with a spur of the moment Youtube account just to comment to me are really working hard to make some kind of point, again, to me. And behind your veil you have said nothing except your intention to comment to me...and I still have no idea what you really are trying to say. Your great desire to discuss the meaning of the song has yet to actually convey anything you profess to know.

Um it's just a lyrics video, not a "video" video. The point is the motion is supposed to be minimal to not distract from the words.
