I loved this song the first time I heard it. Hooked. Good job making a song that hit the spot the first time.

Honestly, I have not be fair...but now I like this song. I think you can't really judge until listening to a song a few days or weeks later. So far, out of the 3 songs release, 2 of them are really good. "Miracle Pill" I think sucks...the lyrics and John's voice are amazing...but I just can't get over the pop and trying to sound like everybody else. Regardless, so far..so good....hopefully there are more better songs on the album. If there are 3 good songs..then the album is a buy.

This is terrible. Maybe there will be one or two songs I’ll like on the new album, but I haven’t liked much in the last 10 years. Too much soft synthesizers and not enough guitar.

It doesn't sound like GGD because it largely isn't. Literally. The label is sending the band hired gun songwriters to "help" John write many of the new songs. That doesn't necessarily make the songs good or bad, but it does make them something other than a GGD song. There's the disconnect so many of you are hearing.

They're not lazy, as was mentioned above. Touring, which they do often, is not for the lazy or fainthearted. But it is how the money is made. Bringing in new fans is never the game plan at that stage. Rather, you maintain the loyal base. ie The ticket buyer.

its actually stolen lyrics and music written by a girl named Jonna they are just using the sons of some of these producers that helped cover it up to again cover it up and steal more money. Doesn't look right when a 50 year old sounds like a teen girl.

Instrumentally I prefer the older stuffs. Lyrically I prefer the recently songs, since Magnetic album to nowdays - they are more positive just like Bob Marley songs, yêah!

I agree...though i love the sound of the older stuff...it was pretty depressing. To be honest though.."Miracle Pill" sounds negative too...but it's like they're making drug use sound positive..lol...at least that's how it sounds.

At first, the song was okay....but I started to like it. The lyrics and sound is good. I hate the intro because it sounds like a Steve Nicks song. In the end, I hate this song now because the girl's voice is too overwhelming. Her voice is beautiful, but very loud and too noticeable...it's almost like a duet. I mean..what if "Iris" had a girl singing in the background for 75% of the song? Hopefully there is a version without her on it..or if there is a way to edit her voice out. Otherwise, I ain't buying this song.

Goo Goo Dolls have always evolved based on the "popular" music of the time. But they have always had thier spin of that popular genre. With that in mind, I love these new songs eqauly as much as I did your Punk, Alt Rock, Pop rock, and most important Goo rock. Keep it up boys!!!

Why why WHYYY was this not the single? Miracle Pill is the synth -driven pop trash that John rzeznik always talks down about, this is a fantastic, catchy ass song that actually sounds like GGD.

Uncertain about the meaning of this song. Love the sound of this music, layers and tones, though uncertain about lyrics. Money, fame & fortune (unless it's the fortune of being alive and living, being loved & loving) are meaningless, aren't they? One only needs a sufficient amount of resources to support a chosen life path, which differs from person to person, path to path. Path is often chosen to deepen meaning of one's life. Does this song mean that those who run away from the light, from the purpose of their soul, don't actually ever love another human being but just love 'money, fame & fortune'?

I got no problem with the production. I’m a fan of every album before SFTROU where every lyric John wrote chilled me to the core and I felt his pain. Since Better Days everything feels like it was penned on the bus on the way to the studio. It’s great their production has evolved with the times, however John’s gut wrenching vocals were always what made me obsess over their songs and I feel like lyrics have taken a backseat and that time is just spent on sound design. It’s well textured but I’m missing the heart!
BTW for all those that love this please enjoy with all your heart. Goo is my fav band of all time but this is just what my heart says. Rock on all!

Great concert in Charlotte! My kid’s and I listen daily to various songs of yours on different family play lists. Really like the new songs! Thank you for your music! Over and Over, Boxes, and so many more of your songs has really helped me deal with the death of my first Wife. She passed away at 34 in 2009, you all helped me to move on and to start to live again. I remarried a couple of years ago and now my 14 year old Son and 12 year old Daughter have a Mother thanks to your music and my friends. God bless you all.

What I love about this band is the fact that they never stop growing, its very unfortunate that the fans don't grow with the band, they can't always wait for people to catch up, that would be mental torment for any songwriter

So much negativity. They are evolving as people, as musicians, and now they're both parents. We all grow up and knowing John's struggles and how he pulled himself back from the dark, and is not wandering around trashed all the time now, he has come so far, musically and as a person. The music style is bound to grow with them as they do. No, it's not the same edge as the 90s stuff, but the lyrics are what I am drawn to, and the passion they have for what they do. I'll buy everything they put out till they stop doing it. There's always something on every album that hits so close to what I needed to hear, and I like to think I've evolved right along with them. I'll listen to stop the world, and miracle pill, and m,f&f, and long way down and love them all the same.
