This album's sound sounds very new and fresh. People might be put off a little because the guitars aren't as out front as previous work. John is older now and this music is more deeper and mature. I like the fuller sound and melodic unity...vocal arrangements are executed nicely...

if you don't have something to relate the song to, then the song will never touch your soul. no matter how much its been appreciated by people with millions of views and like or how much a legendary band has performed it.
there were some songs that i thought how do people like them i couldn't
but one day i was going through something that i never thought of.. and at that moment of my emotion while i was playing some random playlist on my youtube vanced app those songs happen to play through with my random playlist. that day those songs defined exactly what i wanted to express or what i was going through.
songs are emotions of the people's life. either you relate with your life or understand someone's else.
for eg:- i currently cant understand why bohemian rhapsody is called so legendary and evergreen song. i never got to experience this song to my life. hopefully i will

"indestructible" and "Money Fame". I think "indestructible" is more emotional and solid...but I think "Money Fame" is just more fun..the bass is really cool...something I can jam more to driving.

Excluding the first 2 albums, I would say "Miracle Pill" is their 2nd worst album.
Worst album to me is "Let love in", but love the title track. It was a horrible album because I like only 1 song.
I like 2 songs on "Miracle Pill" album.

Been a fan since the 90s and the Goo Goo Dolls don't disappoint with Indestructible. Johnny's voice is just unique. The song has a nostalgic feeling to it.

I just preordered the album. "Indestructible" and "Money fame.." are pretty good songs...not as great as "Big Machine", "Naked", "long way down", "name"..you get what i'm saying. Hopefully there are better songs on the album. I really like "The pin" and "boxes"..the song...were the only 2 songs i like on the album...unfortunately.

@Tuka Chgw Walk Away was on Boxes as bonus track before the EP of 2017. I've that cd. I understand what you mean (my fav album is Gutterflower) but unfortunately the music industry has changed, but they continued to make good music. I'm a huge fan and I love some recent songs like "Still Your Song" "Nothing is Real" "Notbroken" "Home" "Before It's too late" "All That You Are" "Bulletproof Angel" "Slow it Down" "Keep the car running" "Without You Here" "Become" "Better Days", in my opinion their strength is in the ballads but they often miss the choice of right single. Do you know that "Name" was chosen by chance? That's insame to me, in my mind it's the lead single!

@Grox Prime Music On the official album, "walk away" is not on Boxes..so it doesn't count. I just don't got time to debate that..lol. I know that Name was not a single but a radio DJ heard it and started playing it. They made some great songs since the old days...but far and in between. Aboynamed good had 6 great songs...but I only liked 1 song in their last..sad.

What a great song...never disappoint

Love the song, but something bothers me about the second verse. It feels thrown together and doesn’t really go with the rest of the song. Anyone feel the same?

I could be wrong but I'm guessing it has to do with his battle with his alcohol addiction that almost killed him and cost him his marriage several years back. He went into rehab, has stayed sober ever since and doesn't even keep alcohol in his house and now his relationship with his wife is, apparently, stronger than it ever was before. So knowing that backstory, not only does it make that verse make much more sense but it really ties the whole song together and makes it that much more powerful and amazing.

rx doc scott I don’t know. It starts with “we’re so ready for the better things to come” then just randomly turns to “ closing in claustrophobic, tear it up, hit and run”. Then in an uplifting song goes “you and me don’t belong anymore”. Those are just so out of place.

He’s talking to us love throughout the song but then in that second verse he’s not, but there’s no clear shift that shows what he’s talking about.

I like your interpretation though, but I wish it fit in the song better.

He’s saying to the love interest, they don’t belong in the current state of bad things where it feels it’s closing in and claustrophobic so tear it up like a hit and run and kill the bad memories because they are ready for better things. It makes sense to me, it’s just a lot of story in short verses so I get who it feels like a jump

I feel it's a tough time to be a goo goo dolls fan. "indestructible" and "money fame" are good songs...but they're missing the stronger guitar sounds and the emotions of the guitar. The guitar playing is very generic...little effort. Doesn't have the power and passion of songs like "Name, naked, iris, slide, etc".

the classic goo goo song is obviously iris but they have so many other great songs, gd luck to them all x
