Renee Bitch she is at a confusing time in her life. She loves lip but wants to be rebellious so she doesn't think she can settle down with him even though she wants too.

he whispers he loves her. she's not sure; there's no certainty in her life at this point, she knows she'll hurt him eventually, and breaks up soon thereafter to actually save him from herself. the expression captured the state of her confusion, and eventual setting of despair. truly an amazing scene. shameless is so underrated.

I think this scene in Shameless was one of the most romantic scenes between both Lip and Karen. They're in the bed together making out passionately and intimately, Karen begins to tear up underneath him looking over his shoulder. When Lip quietly whispers out to her ear, "I love you!". Karen wraps her arm closer around him crying further along before the scene cuts out. The music on the show Shameless has some of the best moments in television between human interactions and emotions.
