I was 7 years old (1969) , we were on vacation in Victoria/Vancouver , Canada. We were in a park, and there was a Scottish festival going on. A young man in his kilts sang this song with the band that was playing. I never forgot this, my parents were very impressed with the singer and the song at the time. Small memory form a small boy.

Rest In Peace my beautiful Nanny Jean, and my lovely Dar who passed away comfortably crying listening to this song, that remind him of his dear wife, Jean♥️

Pretty song Bobby Goldsborough made famous, i think. Great vibrato, nicely understated, he has. I never saw the film, but this was a very big song in '68, when i was about 11.
