Danny Gokey obviously is an incredibly powerful vocalist.
He was barely 30 when his wife passed...and wanted to take a total pass on the American Idol gig..but his oath to her he persevered.
A 3rd place garnered him a record contract and most likely would never have stumbled upon a song that will be by far...my most favorite and most cherihed

I absolutely love this song and Danny's version of it. I never want it to end. It makes me think of how worship in heaven will be, fulfilling every soul for eternity.

BRILLIANT! In a one word description of that rendition, that is the first thing that popped into my head! I love this arrangement of this now classic Christmas song, the accompaniment is stellar. The choral and instrumental! Not only that but the decorations are beautiful but not too much to take away from how important this song/s are! I found myself starting to tear up on several occasions during the song as it is one of my favorites to sing as well. It's one thing to change the arrangement of the music and add something to the end that continues the feel of worship and broadens the story of his life. But, I just finished listening to several different versions of this same song and it really bothers me not so much when people change words because you can change words and make something your own but to not even sing the correct words in the same place where it is obvious you are singing the wrong ones, that I simply can't abide!
