Some people cut because they feel that physical pain and scars heal faster than emotional ones. Its not just emos that cut. Alot of different people cut. Just for some reason people focus in on the emos. Think of it this way, when your leg hurts and you want to stop focusing on it, one of your friends being the dick that they are will punch you in the arm. Thats the best way i can describe it. I never tried cutting myself, but I can see why someone would want to. I used to think the same thing about that as killing yourself, but than I was in the same situation and now I kinda understand. Its not really emo, I find the emo stereotype which derived off Punk kinda ruined Punk. I mean a lot of the stuff that is Punk can be taken off as Emo. But the difference is with Punk it was more of a thought than a stereotype or subculture, Emo is just a straight up modern day conformity, err.
