I love how almost every song in gloryhammer’s universe can be somehow connected to a bit of 40k, for instance, knife of evil can be the sword that Horus got stabbed with that caused him to need the thing on davin that made him turn to chaos

This album, though, starts...


After Earth was destroyed by the Hootsman in order to stop Zargothrax from summoning the Elder god Kor-Virliath, Zargothrax fled into the wormhole that was opened as a result ("Into the Terrorvortex of Kor-Virliath"). Angus McFife XIII followed him into the wormhole and upon reaching the other side he discovered a terrible alternate reality ("The Siege of Dunkeld (In Hoots We Trust)"). Zargothrax has corrupted this reality and is slaughtering the peasants of the world. Angus attempts to stop Zargothrax but quickly finds that the Hammer of Glory has no power in this dimension. While Angus flees, Zargothrax proclaims himself the emperor of this land, commanding the corrupted Dreadlord Ser Proletius and the deathknights of Crail to slaughter more peasants in Auchtermuchty ("Masters of the Galaxy"). Angus McFife is told about a resistance far north in the Land of the Unicorns.

You think I've only tried it with Gloryhammer?
Nah. I've done it to every fantasy thing you can think of.
I've done anime, I've done novels, and I've done songs and fantasy bands like Gloryhammer.
Most of which I've done successfully. There's a few of them which I'm still working on, like Fate/Stay Night, but for the most part, I'm used to this.

Granted, most of it is full of hypotheses and theories yet to be proven, but the point still stands.

Besides, there's a sense of satisfaction in breaking apart fandoms founded upon magic and such. The satisfaction of finally cracking a puzzle you've discovered.

I'm saying that Gloryhammer defies categorization, defies logic, and gleefully defies expectations. What works with other bands won't work, here. If you haven't, yet, check out the Hootsforce video. Submarines with HYPERDRIVES on them!

I checked out the Hootsforce video as soon as it came out.
Amazing video aside, that is exactly why I love Gloryhammer so much. They're willing to do what other bands will not. They tell a story spanning the universe, and even even though there is a time travel cliche at the end of the second album, they absolutely make it work in the best way possible.

Oh, and the bit about Submarines with hyperdrives, it's pretty cool as well as completely unique, but that's about it.

@Ashuraman You know what would be funny. Cause of the cloning thing..We get a timeline where It's Zargothrax point of view where he is winning the BOOM Demon King Angus Mcfife the 13th. Like he fell into hell but did not die.

@Carzeyday Technically there's already a song sung completely from Zargothrax's point of view, that being Universe On Fire. But a plot twist like that...that would actually be clever. Like something goes wrong with the cloning process and the new clone ha none of the previous version's memories, grows up to be a good guy instead. Thing is, the message was sent back to the year 1020 and the "Present" is in 1992 so that's still a HUGE time difference. Still that would be an interesting story to explore for their next album
