All I know is that if you can make art out of the history, scientific technology and in the twenty-first century, you're awesome. Never let someone tell you what you should be, who you should believe in or what you should say/do. He is gorgeous (inside and out) forever and ever. My heart aches for every LGBT teen and young adult who's had to wrestle with a religion that told them they were wrong because of their sexuality. Religion can inspire some great acts of kindness and selflessness, but it can also inspire pointless hatred and inner torment. Great song, Tyler.

There’s nothing wrong with the former leaving, though. Everyone deserves to be in a safe and healthy environment, and sadly a lot of members of the church don’t provide that.

Why stay in something that is obviously harmful and unchristlike? The best way to "help" is to leave and let it fall by the wayside in humanity's journey toward a better way.

He's said they're still a thing, his band mates have been giving him space to do a solo album. Excommunication comes from his own darkness, not necessarily theirs, so he's going solo for this record but they're gonna get back together.
