I actually love this AND the original. They are amazing in two very different facets. I hate people JUST seeing Glee as covers. Sure, that IS what they are...but they also put their own spin on things. That's why instrumentation on the songs in Glee is also slightly different. TV is a completely different medium then JUST the music studio and the Broadway stage. (And because Darren's vocals are so amazing!)

Good, but the film version still blows this out the water. Doesn't carry anywhere near the heart of the original, plus Ellen Green's timidness as Audrey is what makes her belting out all the more powerful.

I like this one and the original both are good in their own way and whenever I hear darren criss's voice I feel calm and better about myself this is why I'm straight although I wish sometimes that he dueted with Kurt for this song as a way for them to make up

She performs this song very well and she's obviously quite talented, but this cover lacks the emotion and passion from Ellen's version. This sounds like just another sugary pop song, honestly.

Okay, something is terminally wrong with all of you people. How could you ever prefer Elen Grene's whiny, annoying vocals over Lea's clear, bell like tones? I hate the original! I could only begin to stand the song when Kerry Buttler did it in the Broadway revival. It's refreshing to hear the song without it being clogged with that stupidly over-exaggerated Brooklyn accent. It's amazing how someone as transcendent as Lea can have so many haters. If you don't like, don't listen. It's very simple.

Does anybody teach me the meaning of the sentence "You don't need no makeup."?English is not my first language. I took its meaning as "You need makeup" because the sentence has two denial words "not" and "no". Doesn't it end in affirmation(negative*negative=positive)?Or does it mean "You don' need any makeup."?Someone teach me, please.

I know this is late, but it is kind of slang, or a saying. In different parts of where people speak English, they are some ways people say things that are a little different. He means "you don't need makeup", but the no is there to almost emphasize his point, or he just says it like that. It can be hard if you're learning the language, but in the song it just wouldn't make sense to see "you need makeup" so sometimes you need to look in a bit of the song and not in the exact words. :)
