Personally, I love Marley's character and her voice. This had emotion and acting behind it, in my opinion. And her character speaks to me. Haven't we all felt like the girl trying just to get by and fit in ? Being negatively influenced but in the midst of the madness finding yourself? No, she's not Rachel. She's Marley.

Why would Rachel be envious? Marley's voice is pretty but nothing special. Rachel's voice is amazing. When Marley can do something like Don't Rain on my Parade or It's all coming back to me now let me know.

Screeching? Screeching is what Sugar did in "Big Spender." Becca's version was shockingly good. I think I liked it even better than the movie version because I think movie Rizzo was a little too contralto, whereas Becca's high alto or mezzo brought a more relative light to the song. But that's just my opinion. :) But I don't think Becca was screeching at all.

Actually, Melissa is a really good musical theater singer too. :) Look up her "Gimme Gimme" video. I was confused because the casting call for Marley was a pop singer, but they cast a musical theater singer. But hey, Melissa's actually versatile like that! ^_^ So is Lea, though. But they do have different strengths and styles; both good and different indeed.

I bet that Blaine and Marley will have a duet at some point in this season... And it'll be awesome :D

lol Rachel was not "way better". Completely different styles of singing. Melissa can belt it out as well but her singing has a jazzy feeling to it while Lea sounds a little nasally when she sings. Both very talented but different. Not to mention that the character Rachel AND Lea are both older than Marley/Melissa.
