It was amazing to see this LP performed live in concert at the time the LP was released...great accents by the drummer, too!

I bought this album new, still have it.

This sounds great on a good stereo. Well engineered and produced like all of his stuff.

When I first heard this I thought it was Stevie Wonder. Guess I didn't hear it too clearly. It was at a time when Stevie hadn't put anything out for quite a while....Soon came Songs in the Key of Life.

My mother bought me this album when it came out (I was 20). I thought, 'oh brother, this will be awful'. Then I listened to it - the way it came out of my stereo speakers and his voice! I just thought WOW!

Although a massive Gino fan. Joe was so integral to the initial success.

Sir Gino Vannelli, when my heart first gave ear to his tunes. captured my mind my soul and we all took flight away from the horrors of the hood and shady survival mechanisms thereof and I was transposed to a land of pure grace; that momentary grace that crowns my life forever. It was like a song bird that wasn't supposed to sing, it wasn't supposed to be heard this side of hell.
